Vitamin Shoppe Reservie Trans-Resveratrol Settlement Checks Mailed

Top Class Actions viewers are starting to receive checks in the mail from a class action settlement that alleged Vitamin Shoppe Inc. misrepresented the ingredients found in its Reservie Trans-Resveratrol supplement.

According to comments and posts on the Top Class Actions Facebook page,Class Members who filed valid claims for the Vitamin Shoppe class action settlement began receiving checks worth as much as $21 on June 17, 2017.

If you filed a claim for the Vitamin Shoppe Reservie Trans-Resveratrol settlement, keep checking your mailbox because payouts are on their way!

The settlement resolves claims that Vitamin Shoppe falsely advertised its Reservie Trans-Resveratrol as containing French grape seed extract and organic muscadine grape seed ingredients, when in reality the supplement contained very little of those ingredients.

Plaintiff Rebecca Scheuerman says that instead of more costly ingredients, Vitamin Shoppe’s Reservie Trans-Resveratrol mostly consists of Japanese Knotwood. Scheuerman clams that if Class Members had known the source of Trans-Resveratrol was knotwood, they would not have paid as much for the Vitamin Shoppe supplement.

Vitamin Shoppe did not admit to any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the class action to avoid the further expense and risk of litigation.

Class Members included all U.S. consumers who bought Vitamin Shoppe’s Reservie Trans-Resveratrol between Jan. 1, 2011 and June 6, 2016.

The deadline to file a claim for the Vitamin Shoppe class action settlement passed on Sept. 23, 2016.
