Tincup Whiskey Class Action Settlement Checks Mailed

Top Class Actions readers are starting to receive checks in the mail from a class action settlement that accused Tincup Whiskey of being falsely advertised as being made in Colorado, when it was actually made in Indiana.

According to reader comments and posts on the Top Class Actions Facebook page, Class Members who submitted timely and valid claims for the Tincup Whiskey settlement began receiving checks worth as much as $17.25 on Apr. 23, 2016.

If you filed a claim for the Tincup Whiskey class action settlement, keep an eye on your mailbox because you may soon be receiving your payout!

The Tincup Whiskey settlement resolves allegations that whiskey maker Proximo Spirits labeled its product with false information about where it was made.

Proximo denied all wrongdoings but agreed to the settlement to avoid the cost and risk of further litigation. Under the terms of the settlement, Proximo agreed to pay $425,000 and update Tincup labels to include information that the liquor is made in Indiana.

Class Members included all U.S. residents who purchased Tincup Whiskey between July 1, 2013 and Sept. 16, 2015.

The deadline to submit a Claim Form for the Tincup Whiskey class action settlement passed on Nov. 17, 2015.
