The Mitsubishi LaserVue settlement resolves allegations that the televisions contain an “optical engine” defect that results in video and color abnormalities.

Plaintiff Robert Verdie filed the class action lawsuit over claims that the TV manufacturer was liable for breach of express and implied warranties as well as violations of California consumer protection laws and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

Class Members in the Mitsubishi settlement include all U.S. residents who either purchased or received as a gift a Mitsubishi LaserVue DLP Television, models L65-A90, L75-A91, L75-A94, or L75-A96 between Jan. 1, 2008 and July 13, 2015.

Mitsubishi denies all allegations but agreed to the settlement to avoid further litigation costs.

The deadline to file a reimbursement Claim Form is July 25, 2016, while the warranty service Claim Form deadline is within four years of the TV purchase date.
