Rexall Sundown Inc. and NBTY Inc. have agreed to a class action settlement over allegations they made false statements on the labels of some of their joint health supplements.
Consumers who purchased certain glucosamine and chondroitin joint supplements manufactured by Rexall Sundown may be entitled to compensation from the class action settlement.
If approved, this settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit that alleges Rexall and NBTY made false statements on the labels of their glucosamine and chondroitin joint health supplements. The plaintiffs do not assert any allegations related to the safety of the joint health supplements and have not alleged any injuries.
A settlement was initially reached in this class action lawsuit in 2013, but the settlement was not approved by the court. No payments were made under that class action settlement.
Rexall denies the allegations and stands by the efficacy of its glucosamine joint health products. However, the supplement maker agreed to settle the class action lawsuits to avoid the risk, expense and delay of trial.
Who’s Eligible
Class Members of the Rexall glucosamine settlement include all consumers who purchased certain joint health dietary supplements that were manufactured or sold by Rexall or any of its affiliates.
The covered products include dozens of glucosamine supplements sold under brand names such as CVS, Duane Reade, Equate, Kirkland, Kroger, Safeway, Target and Walgreens. A list of the covered products is available here.

Proof of Purchase
Proof of purchase is not required to submit a claim; however, claims may be audited for completeness, fraud and abuse.

Claim Form Deadline

I am notified daily, by the US Postal Service of mail arrivals. This service is through InformedDelivery@usps.gov.
A few weeks ago I received notice of a settlement check that was to arrive shortly. It never arrived. Your disbursement fund is the only one with which I am associated. The piece of mail was either stolen or returned to your location.
Please let me know what you have determined from your investigation into the matter.
I successfully filed a claim 9/24/16 and have a claim #. Never received a check.
The settlement website is no longer active. You can try contacting class counsel. Counsel is listed in this article and can be Googled for contact information. Good luck!
