Update:
- Top Class Actions readers reported this settlement paying out up to $9,740.41 as of Sept. 19, 2024.
- Congratulations to everyone who filed a claim and got paid!
Christopher’s Dodge Ram, a Colorado dealership, agreed to pay $935,000 to resolve a class action lawsuit claiming it discriminated against female applicants.
The settlement benefits females who, between Jan. 1, 2012, and July 14, 2022, applied for or expressed interest in a sales position at Cristopher’s Dodge Ram in Golden, Colorado, but were not hired or contacted, or who applied for a sales job but were steered into an administrative position upon being hired.
Christopher’s Dodge Ram is a dealership in Golden, Colorado, that has been selling vehicles in the area for over 30 years. In October 2021, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed a lawsuit against the dealership alleging gender and racial discrimination.
According to the EEOC, female employees were forced to work in a hostile work environment where other employees and managers called them obscene names and touched them inappropriately. Black and African workers were allegedly subject to similar harassment when management commented on their skin color and features or called them by slurs or other derogatory names.
“The EEOC is committed to ensuring the workplace remains free of sexual harassment, racial harassment, and retaliation,” EEOC Phoenix District Office regional attorney Mary Jo O’Neil said in a press release. “Employees should be able to go to work without fear of being harassed and mistreated because of their sex, race, or national origin.”
The EEOC also brought claims against the dealership for allegedly refusing to hire female applicants into sales positions. These women were allegedly not contacted after inquiring about sales positions, not hired after applying for sales positions or shifted into administrative positions after being hired at the dealership.
Christopher’s Dodge Ram hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $935,000 to resolve these allegations.
Under the terms of the settlement, Class Members can receive compensation from the settlement fund. Exact details about settlement payments are not available at this time.
In addition to providing payments, Christopher’s Dodge Ram agreed to make business changes to prevent EEOC violations.
These measures include increasing female representation, hiring an independent monitor, providing EEO training to employees and management, changing its hiring policies and publicly posting its commitment to creating a discrimination-free workplace.
“The EEOC’s mission is to prevent and remedy unlawful employment discrimination and advance equal opportunity for all in the workplace,” EEOC Denver Field Office Director Amy Burkholder said in a statement. “I believe this agreement accomplished that goal.”
In order to receive Christopher’s Dodge Ram class action lawsuit settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Nov. 24, 2023.

Anybody else still waiting for their checks?
I just checked my informed delivery and I got my check in the mail for tomorrow.
I emailed the claim administrations and they told me 9/11/2024 and to just give it 7 to 10 days from that day for the mailman to deliver it.
I emailed the Claims Administrator requesting a courtesy update. Will that work? Or am I just wasting my time?
Good morning to everybody. Aside from Lamar and Mark Terrazo. Has anyone else received a monetary payment?
Not me
The amount I got was $8,902.64.
the initial letter said it will be $7,714.03, but it looks like they denied a few people after they sent the IRS tax form. So it ended up being more.
OK, thanks
