Walgreens recall, Kroger recall overview:

Certain Walgreens and Kroger pain relief medications are part of a recall after the pills were packaged in bottles that are not child-resistant, posing a poisoning risk to kids.
In total, more than 400,000 bottles of pain relief pills are recalled nationwide.
Walgreens Pain Reliever Acetaminophen recalled
On June 16, Aurohealth announced it recalled about 137,300 bottles of Walgreens brand Pain Reliever Acetaminophen in 150-count bottles.
Aurohealth says the products contain acetaminophen, which must be in child-resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA).
“The packaging of the products is not child-resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children,” the Walgreens recall states.
Consumers should immediately store the recalled products in a safe location out of reach and sight of children, the recall says. Customers should then contact Aurohealth for information on how to return the product to Walgreens to receive a full refund.
The affected pills were sold at Walgreens stores nationwide from October 2021 through April 2022 for about $9.
Kroger aspirin, ibuprofen recalled
Meanwhile, Time-Cap announced June 16 it is recalling about 209,430 Kroger aspirin (300-count bottles) and ibuprofen (160-count bottles).
The recalled products contain aspirin and ibuprofen that are not in child-resistant packaging as required by the PPPA.
Consumers should immediately store the recalled products in a safe location and contact Kroger about getting a full refund.
Kroger Arthritis Pain Acetaminophen recalled
On the same day, Aurohealth announced it recalled about 25,660 of Kroger Arthritis Pain Acetaminophen in 225-count bottles.
The product packaging is not child-resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.
The product was sold at multiple marketplaces and stores nationwide from December 2021 through March 2022 for between $14 and $17.
“Consumers should immediately store the recalled product in a safe location out of reach and sight of children,” the Kroger recall states.
Customers can contact Kroger for information on how to properly dispose of the product and receive a full refund.
Kroger acetaminophen recalled
Finally Sun Pharma recalled about 34,660 bottle of Kroger acetaminophen in 100-count bottles.
The recalled over-the-counter product does not have child-resistant packaging. Consumers should store the recalled products out of sight of children and contact Kroger for information about disposing of the product and getting a refund.

No incidents have been reported in regards to the Walgreens recall or Kroger recall. The companies are not facing legal action over the recalls, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.
Meanwhile, Walmart and Walgreens have been hit with class action lawsuits alleging they sell lidocaine patches they claim are stronger and more long-lasting than they actually are.
