Trader Joe’s recalled certain batches of its almond cookies as they may contain rocks.

The supermarket chain posted the recall July 21. It applies to Trader Joe’s Almond Windmill Cookies (SKU# 98744) with sell-by dates of Oct. 19, 2023, through Dec. 21, 2023, and Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies (SKU# 82752) with sell-by dates of Oct. 17, 2023, through Oct. 21, 2023.

According to the recall, the supplier alerted Trader Joe’s to the presence of rocks in the products.

“All potentially affected product has been removed from sale and destroyed,” the recall notice says.

The recall did not state whether any consumers had been affected by the rocks in the cookies.

Trader Joe’s is not facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes end in class action lawsuits.

Trader Joe’s recall notice urges consumers not to eat cookies

Trader Joe’s urges consumers to discard the cookies or return them to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.

“If you purchased or received any donations of Almond Windmill Cookies and/or Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies, please do not eat them,” the Trader Joe’s recall states.

In June, Trader Joe’s issued a separate recall for one of its specialty scented candle products, saying it can overheat and break, posing a risk to consumers and their homes.
