Trader Joeโ€™s recalled certain batches of its almond cookies as they may contain rocks.ย

The supermarket chain posted the recall July 21. It applies to Trader Joeโ€™s Almond Windmill Cookies (SKU# 98744) with sell-by dates of Oct. 19, 2023, through Dec. 21, 2023, and Trader Joeโ€™s Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies (SKU# 82752) with sell-by dates of Oct. 17, 2023, through Oct. 21, 2023.

According to the recall, the supplier alerted Trader Joeโ€™s to the presence of rocks in the products.ย

โ€œAll potentially affected product has been removed from sale and destroyed,โ€ the recall notice says.

The recall did not state whether any consumers had been affected by the rocks in the cookies.

Trader Joeโ€™s is not facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes end in class action lawsuits.

Trader Joeโ€™s recall notice urges consumers not to eat cookies

Trader Joeโ€™s urges consumers to discard the cookies or return them to any Trader Joeโ€™s for a full refund.

โ€œIf you purchased or received any donations of Almond Windmill Cookies and/or Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies, please do not eat them,โ€ the Trader Joeโ€™s recall states.

In June, Trader Joeโ€™s issued a separate recall for one of its specialty scented candle products, saying it can overheat and break, posing a risk to consumers and their homes.
