QVC recalls 1M+ Temp-tations oven gloves due to burn injuries

QVC oven gloves recall overview:

QVC has recalled more than one million pairs of oven gloves due to nearly 100 reports of burns caused by the gloves. 

The QVC recall was published to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website on Dec. 5.

It applies to about 1.1 million pairs of Temp-tations Oven Gloves imported and sold by QVC in single pairs, sets of two and in sets with drying mats or trivets.

According to the QVC recall, the oven gloves can “fail to provide sufficient protection from heat, posing a burn hazard to consumers.”

So far, QVC has received 162 reports of insufficient heat protection in the gloves, including 92 reports of minor burns.

Consumers should immediately stop using the oven gloves and contact QVC to receive a refund, the recall says.

The recalled gloves were sold on QVC.com, QVC televised shows and QVC digital shopping platforms from August 2018 through August 2024 for between about $4 and $13 per pair and in bundled sets with other kitchen items for between about $14 and $26 per set.

In other cooking-related news, a Samsung class action lawsuit filed in August claims the company sold ranges with front-mounted heat control knobs that can be turned on accidentally, posing a potential fire hazard.
