Foremost Food Company is recalling its 35.27-ounce Pamana mini fruit jelly cups because the cups could be a potential choking hazard. Jelly cups have previously led to choking deaths in children, according to the Pamana recall.

The jelly cups were distributed nationwide through Seafood City supermarkets and are sold in those stores in large clear jars.

The recalled items include an assorted flavor jelly cup with UPC 795981293038, mango flavor with UPC 795981293045 and lychee flavor with UPC 795981293021.

Foremost Food Company made the decision to issue the recall after the potential choking hazard was confirmed through a discussion with a representative from the Food and Drug Administration.

Consumers are asked to return the product or dispose of it in a sealed package

Consumers who bought the mini fruit jelly cups are asked to return the product to the store where it was purchased for a refund or to dispose of the product in a sealed package in a secure trash can with a tight-fitting lid, according to the Pamana recall.

Foremost Food Company says it has not received any reports of injury related to the recall so far. The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.

Foremost Food Company can be reached at 909‐525‐9500 from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. PST between Monday and Friday.
