Frito-Lay recall overview:ย 

  • Who: Frito-Lay recalled select 15-ounce jars of its Tostitos Avocado Salsa Dip.ย

Frito-Lay recalled select 15-ounce jars of its Tostitos Avocado Salsa Dip that have been on sale since April 5 in the United States.

The salsa recall applies to jars with a UPC code ending in 0559 and best-buy dates of Nov. 2, 2023, or Nov. 3, 2023.ย 

The jars were mislabeled with another productโ€™s nutrition information and the salsa actually includes undeclared milk, which can pose serious or life-threatening allergic reactions for those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk, according to the Frito-Lay recall.

No other Frito-Lay products, dips or salsa are impacted by the salsa recall.

Consumers with milk allergy, sensitivity should discard product, Frito-Lay salsa recall states

Frito-Lay says it has not received any reports of illness related to the recall so far. The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.

Consumers with either a milk allergy or sensitivity should discard the product immediately. Consumers can contact Frito-Lay between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. CT at (800) 352-4477 or via email at FLNAFrito-LayMediaServices@pepsico.com.

In related news, Frito-Lay is currently facing a class action lawsuit stating its โ€œHint of Limeโ€ chips do not actually contain any lime.
