Tesla issued a recall for more than 9,000 vehicles in August over concerns their cosmetic trim pieces can detach, posing a crash hazard.

The recall involves model year 2016 Tesla Model X vehicles produced between Sept. 17, 2015, and July 31, 2016.ย

โ€œTrim that separates from the vehicle during use can create a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash,โ€ the Tesla recall says.

Tesla issued a separate recall for more than 1.8 million vehicles last month over concerns their hoods can open without warning.ย

The recall involves 1,850,363 model year 2013-2024 Tesla Model S, 2016-2024 Tesla Model X, 2017-2024 Tesla Model 3 and 2020-2024 Tesla Model Y vehicles.ย
