Snack Innovations issued a voluntary recall on several batches of Drizzilicious mini rice cake bites and drizzled popcorn as the products may contain undeclared peanut residue.

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) website posted the recall Jan. 25. It applies to Drizzilicious mini rice cake bites products in various flavors. The affected lot numbers are available here.

“People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products,” the Drizzilicious recall states.

Snack Innovations distributed products nationwide through retail stores and online through e-commerce sites like Amazon.

Do not eat products, return for refund, Drizzilicious recall states

Snack Innovations initiated the recall after one of its ingredient suppliers issued its own recall when it discovered undeclared peanut residue in one of the sub-ingredients used in making the products.

“Consumers who have a peanut allergy should not eat any remaining product and are advised to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the recall states. “If you are not allergic to peanuts the products are safe for consumption.”

The products are packaged in Drizzilicious branded pillow bags and/or stand-up zip pouches and must have one of the lot codes listed here printed on the back of the bag.

No illnesses have been reported to date, the company says. Snack Innovations is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes end in class action lawsuits.

In 2019, a consumer hit the company with a class action lawsuit that alleged Drizzilicious snacks do not contain real white chocolate as advertised on product labels.
