- 12-ounce peanut butter snack mix: Nov. 13 to Dec. 22

Palmer Candy Co. is recalling white coated confectionary items distributed to Walmart, HyVee, Target and Dollar General due to potential contamination with salmonella.
The confectionary items recall impacts products sent to Alabama, California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Palmer Candy’s liquid coating supplier told the company about the potential contamination in an ingredient from one of its suppliers.
The recall applies to a lengthy list of sweet snacks, including items such as caramel swirl pretzels, patriotic pretzels, enrobed pretzel rods, white fudge cookies and more. The full list of recalled items is available here.
Production halted while Palmer Candy, FDA investigate salmonella source
Palmer Candy says it has not received any reports of illness related to the confectionary items recall so far. The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.
Palmer Candy has stopped production of the candy products while the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and company investigate. Consumers are asked to return the items to the place of purchase.
