B. Toys Wooden Activity Walker – Walk ‘n’ Learn Recall Overview

B Toys is recalling 17,200 of its Wooden Activity Walker – Walk ‘n’ Learn walkers for toddlers after consumers reported six incidents of wheels and other attachments falling off the walkers, including one incident where a child put a detached metal nut in her mouth.
A recall notice posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says that the detaching wheels and other pieces pose a choking hazard to young children.
“Consumers should immediately take the recalled toddler walkers away from young children and contact Battat for a free repair kit with replacement wheels, attachment hardware and installation instructions,” the recall notice says. Maison Battat was the distributor for the walkers, which were made in China.
Recalled B. toys Walkers Sold at Target, Amazon
The recalled walkers were sold at Target stores nationwide and online at Target and Amazon from September 2020 through November 2021 for $36. According to the recall notice, Battat is contacting purchasers directly.
The wooden toddler walkers have yellow sides, blue wheels and multicolored activity features on the front. B. toys Walk ‘n’ Learn is printed on the packaging and label.
On top of the 17,200 walkers being recalled in the United States, an additional 2,400 are being recalled in Canada, the notice says.
A range of children’s products have been recalled recently over posing various safety risks to youngsters.
In February, Bebe au Lait, known for its parenting and nursery products, issued a recall of several styles of its wooden teethers. The string that connects the beads on a teether can come untied, releasing the beads, which become a choking hazard to young children, the company said.
This month, Crate and Barrel recalled 620 of its Be the Band Music Sets due to choking and suffocation hazards, and Kelly Wynne recalled 1,050 of its Mama & Me MINI Children’s Handbags due to excess lead.
