More than 10,000 kids’ sleepwear items sold exclusively on Amazon have been recalled for failing to meet federal flammability standards and posing a burn hazard.
The recalled Amazon kids’ sleepwear includes a robe and two nightgowns. In three separate recall notices issued Wednesday, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) warned that because the products do not meet federal standards, they increase the risk of burn injuries to children in the event of a fire.
SIORO-branded robes made for children are the subject of one recall, according to the CPSC. Sold on Amazon between December 2020 to April 2021, the kids’ 100 percent cotton robes retailed for between $24 and $29. They were long-sleeved and hooded and came in eight colors, brown, dark gray, green, light blue, teal, navy, plum, and white, and three sizes, S, M, and L.
Nearly 1,000 recalled kids’ robes were sold on Amazon exclusively. Consumers can contact SIORO for instructions on returning the sleepwear with free shipping to receive a full refund.
Another recall was issued for 10 styles of Booph’s 100 percent cotton children’s nightgowns. Nearly 5,000 of the kids’ nightgowns were sold on Amazon for between $9 and $16 between March and June of this year, according to the recall notice.
The kids’ nightgowns were sold only on Amazon and came in ten different styles in sizes 2-3T 3-4T, 5 Years, 6-7 Years, 7-8 Years, and 9-10 Years.
“The short or long-sleeved nightgowns have fruit prints and were sold in white, blue, purple and two shades of pink colors. The size, “100% Cotton, and ‘Made in China’ are sewn on the inner label of the garment’s hem line,” states the CPSC.
In addition, seven styles of Auranso Official children’s nightgowns in both short and long-sleeved varieties were also recalled Wednesday. The recalled kids’ nightgowns were also sold only on Amazon. They are either white or pink and have a striped strawberry print. Sizes range from 2-3T, 3-4T, 5-6X, 6-7 Years, 7-8 Years, and 9-10 Years, says the recall notice.
Approximately 8,000 recalled Auranso Official nightgowns were sold on Amazon between January and June of this year. They were sold for between $11 and $19 each, says the CPSC notice.
Consumers should stop using the recalled kids’ sleepwear immediately, warns the CPSC. They can contact the manufactures for a full refund.
Top Class Actions will continue to monitor this and other recalls of children’s products to help keep consumers informed.
