Chrysler issued a recall for more than 200,000 Dodge Durango and Ram vehicles over concerns they contain a defective ABS control module that could cause their electronic stability control system to become disabled.
The Durango and Ram recall involves certain model year 2022 Dodge Durango SUVs, Ram 2500 pickup trucks and Ram 3500 Cab Chassis vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating of less than 10,000 lbs.
Chrysler said the defect causes the recalled Durango and Ram vehicles to fail to comply with federal motor safety standards and increases the risk of an accident.

FCA also has a problem with the 2016 RAM 1500. My brake warning/ABS check light came on late 2021. Took truck into local brake dealer to check and determined it was defective ABS module. Called dealer early 2022 and was told to wait until fall of 2022 cause part was back ordered. Called back that fall and told still BO until 2023. Took the truck into dealer August 2023 and bought and paid for part that was supposed to be available later in the year. It is NOW one year later and part is still “under review”. In the meantime the truck is getting limited use because was told “unsafe” to drive. This is a common issue with other owners based on reading group chats and blogs. How many 2016 RAM’s are out there with only 90K miles? Cannot understand why FCA can not produce a EOM replacement part after 4 years!!

My 2002 durango has had annissue butnitnwas more sonwith thr acceleration getting stuck and almost causing a seriously injuring accident luckily ingotnit unstuck and off the freeway after getting up to 99+mph with a full size travel trailer attached hasnt happened since and dont know what caused it but i dont travel over 50nwith the trailer attached except that one day and i hope never to experience that again
I might have already signed up. My 2018 Ram 2500 almost put the lives in jeopardy because the right front brake locked on Rt86 causing the truck to almost spin out of controll. My ABS light came on shortly before but unaware of the risk I drove it to Erie Pa. With all of my grand children on board. The road was snow covered which added to the risk. I contacted Ram notifying of the occurence and was told after I took it to the dealership that it was the ABS pump but none was available and it would be June 18 before they we manufactured. THEY ALSO TOLD ME IF I WOULD GET A RENTAL THEY WOULD PAY UP TO $40 PER DAY ONLY AFTER SUBMITING THE INVOICE FROM THE RENTAL A IT WAS APPROVED BY THE HIGH UPS. I COULD NOT CHANCE LEAVING IT UP TO THEIR HIGHER UPS GENEROSITY. THEN I WAS TOLD AFTER SOME TIME THEY WOULD MAKE MY MONTHLY PAYMENTS UP TO 3 MONTHS with a posible forth but I should be happy with 3 months which I Agreed. Then they told me they would give me one month’s payment or risking that 1 month. This was May which was 4 months later. Do not trust them.
Add me
My 2016 Dodge Ram has this problem and no one can tell me why the ABS light won’t go off!!!
