Amazon car sales overview:

  • Who: Amazon and Hyundai announced that Amazon.com will sell Hyundai vehicles starting next year.
  • Why: The announcement expands on an existing partnership between Amazon and Hyundai, with Amazon already hosting a digital showroom for Hyundai vehicles.
  • Where: Consumers nationwide will be able to purchase Hyundai vehicles on Amazon.

Amazon and Hyundai announced earlier this month that the former will begin selling Hyundai cars online in the U.S. starting next year.

Consumers who are in the market for a new vehicle can browse and pick out a Hyundai vehicle on Amazon and then schedule a time to pick them up from a local Hyundai dealer, according to the automaker

Hyundai revealed it has also named Amazon Web Services as its “preferred cloud provider to help facilitate digital transformation of the automaker’s operations, productions, and customer service.”

Amazon is the ideal partner to help realize our vision of progress for humanity, including improving how people and goods move more efficiently and sustainably,” Jaehoon (Jay) Chang, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor Co., said in a statement.

Hyundai digital showroom on Amazon.com expanded in 2022 agreement between automaker, tech giant

The agreement between Amazon and Hyundai expands on a previous deal announced in 2022 that expanded a digital showroom for Hyundai vehicles on Amazon.com that was initially set up in 2018, Reuters reports

Hyundai’s digital showroom on Amazon.com reportedly allows consumers to configure a vehicle and calculate its price before locating a dealer to finish the purchase.

The latest agreement between Amazon and Hyundai also incorporates Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant into Hyundai’s next generation of vehicles, according to the automaker.

“Hyundai is a very innovative company that shares Amazon’s passion for trying to make customers’ lives better and easier every day,” Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said in a statement.

Jassy said providing future Hyundai vehicles with Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant will allow for simplified access to “entertainment, shopping, smart home adjustments, and calendar checks.”

In other recent news involving Amazon, the Federal Trade Commission and 17 state attorneys general filed a lawsuit against the company earlier this month over claims it used an algorithm that manipulated other online retailers into raising their prices.

The alleged algorithm, which Amazon is accused of using covertly, allegedly caused consumers to have to pay inflated prices.

There is no way in hell I would purchase a car from Amazon. People’s attitude’s are self seeking and they have not made any of the best decisions for the world as a whole. Amazon has a anti Christ effect.
