nonstick pan with wooden spoonA class action lawsuit claims that Blue Diamond Enhanced Ceramic Non-Stick Pans are not non-stick, as advertised by The Cookware Company in TV and social media ads.

Plaintiff Elena Lamb claims that Blue Diamond non-stick pans fail to live up to marketing claims.

According to the Blue Diamond pans class action, consumers such as Lamb were deceived into paying a higher price based on these representations.

Blue Diamond cookware is a line of enhanced ceramic non-stick pans from The Cookware Company. The pans, which are heavily advertised on TV and social media, are reportedly coated with a ceramic, diamond-infused non-stick layer. The layer is advertised as being five times harder, four times faster and 10 times longer lasting than traditional non-stick coatings.

Lamb says these representations are false.

The class action lawsuit claims that Lamb purchased a Blue Diamond pan with the expectation that it would perform as advertised. Instead of an easy, non-stick experience, Lamb reportedly dealt with food sticking to the pan and a “messy and difficult” clean up process. She allegedly tried to cook an egg as directed on the label but was met with the same sticky result multiple times.

According to the Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit, Lamb completely stopped using the pan due to its disappointing performance.

Consumer complaints reportedly express similar frustrations with the pans. Customers claim their Blue Diamond pans are not non-stick and even stick more than a regular pan. Other consumers say the pans are not durable and quickly accumulate chips and scrapes.

“Despite the myriad of nonstick representations made by Defendant, the Pan simply does not perform its most basic and critical function—to provide users with a nonstick cooking experience,” the Blue Diamond class action lawsuit claims.

According to Lamb, she and other consumers would not have purchased the products or would not have paid as much had they known that the Blue Diamond pans were not non-stick. The Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit also claims that The Cookware Company knew their misrepresentations would drive purchasing decisions and increase profits.

“Defendant has voluntarily accepted and retained these profits and benefits, with full knowledge and awareness that, as a result of Defendant’s misconduct, Plaintiff and the Class did not receive Product of the quality, nature, fitness, or value that had been represented by Defendant, and that reasonable consumers expected,” alleges the Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit.

Lamb seeks to represent a Class of consumers who purchased the Blue Diamond pans and a subclass of the same consumers from Florida. On behalf of this proposed Class, the Blue Diamond class action lawsuit seeks injunctive relief, damages, court costs, and attorneys’ fees.

Yep at first it was great then a disaster.

  2. Zack Gibson says:

I am experiencing the same failure with pans. Food sticks terribly.

  3. Richard Drury Olson says:

These pans have no non stick qualities Then perform terribly with every food that we tried to cook , they even stick with 85% hamburger Total waste of time and money They should be forced to repay every person that bought one !!!

  4. AMY WILLIAMS says:

It worked well for awhile, then I burned something in my pan and it was permanently destroyed. I assumed that it was my fault, so I bought another one because I was pleased with the performance up to that point. I have been extremely careful with the new one that I bought, but things started sticking after only a few uses and just as bad as the first one. In fact, I brought the old one out of retirement because it is no worse than the new one and it is bigger. But I hate them, they are terrible. Cooking eggs requires me to cook an extra egg than I need because so much sticks to the pan and is lost in cooking. Even using oil! When I scrape the pan to clean afterwards (with a hard plastic spatula, not metal), the stuck egg comes off in thick sheets. These pans are just the worst!

Bought for Christmas gift in 2022 was great pan for about 2 weeks and then the sticking began and very hard to clean. Will not and would not ever recommend this product to anyone. This is an awful product and wish I would have gotten something other than these pans. Very disappointing.

  10. Gregory Kidder says:

I bought the pan and it worked good for cooking eggs for about a week. Then it started sticking and was terrible to clean the eggs off the pan. I don’t use the pan anymore and had to purchase a new pan to cook in.
