A class action lawsuit claims that Blue Diamond Enhanced Ceramic Non-Stick Pans are not non-stick, as advertised by The Cookware Company in TV and social media ads.
Plaintiff Elena Lamb claims that Blue Diamond non-stick pans fail to live up to marketing claims.
According to the Blue Diamond pans class action, consumers such as Lamb were deceived into paying a higher price based on these representations.
Blue Diamond cookware is a line of enhanced ceramic non-stick pans from The Cookware Company. The pans, which are heavily advertised on TV and social media, are reportedly coated with a ceramic, diamond-infused non-stick layer. The layer is advertised as being five times harder, four times faster and 10 times longer lasting than traditional non-stick coatings.
Lamb says these representations are false.
The class action lawsuit claims that Lamb purchased a Blue Diamond pan with the expectation that it would perform as advertised. Instead of an easy, non-stick experience, Lamb reportedly dealt with food sticking to the pan and a “messy and difficult” clean up process. She allegedly tried to cook an egg as directed on the label but was met with the same sticky result multiple times.
According to the Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit, Lamb completely stopped using the pan due to its disappointing performance.
Consumer complaints reportedly express similar frustrations with the pans. Customers claim their Blue Diamond pans are not non-stick and even stick more than a regular pan. Other consumers say the pans are not durable and quickly accumulate chips and scrapes.
“Despite the myriad of nonstick representations made by Defendant, the Pan simply does not perform its most basic and critical function—to provide users with a nonstick cooking experience,” the Blue Diamond class action lawsuit claims.
According to Lamb, she and other consumers would not have purchased the products or would not have paid as much had they known that the Blue Diamond pans were not non-stick. The Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit also claims that The Cookware Company knew their misrepresentations would drive purchasing decisions and increase profits.
“Defendant has voluntarily accepted and retained these profits and benefits, with full knowledge and awareness that, as a result of Defendant’s misconduct, Plaintiff and the Class did not receive Product of the quality, nature, fitness, or value that had been represented by Defendant, and that reasonable consumers expected,” alleges the Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit.
Lamb seeks to represent a Class of consumers who purchased the Blue Diamond pans and a subclass of the same consumers from Florida. On behalf of this proposed Class, the Blue Diamond class action lawsuit seeks injunctive relief, damages, court costs, and attorneys’ fees.

These pans are useless
The Blue Diamond “non-stick” pan is without question the stickiest pan I have ever used! Everything, absolutely everything I cook in it sticks like glue! Yes, I feel cheated.
Bad products please add me
Very Disappointed please add me
Mine sticks ALL the time I’m very DISAPPOINTED
Eggs are starting to stick – there is a haze on the pan and I have to scrub really hard now
I bought 3 of these pans. I know that a frying pan should never be overheated so I really babied my new blue diamond pans.. I even line the pan with paper towels to set one pan into the other in the cabinet to protect the ceramic finish. But after about 5 weeks, eggs started sticking badly even when using a little cooking oil. Now, after a year, everything sticks. The top edge of the ceramic coating around the rim started coming off as well. I noticed some small chips in the bottom of the pan even though I use plastic spatulas and spoons. I always gently hand wash the pans too. All these frying pan companies make false claims about non-stick. All of them sell garbage at an inflated price.
My pan also stopped being non-stick within a month or 2, so I have to use cooking spray with everything, including bacon. In addition, the poor quality has caused the bottom of the pan to warp, so that food pools in certain areas of the pan.
Bought at Costco paid $50 for 2. Within 2 months sticking. Useless garbage. Marketing totally misrepresented product.
I bought both pans and they too started sticking within the first month
