nonstick pan with wooden spoonA class action lawsuit claims that Blue Diamond Enhanced Ceramic Non-Stick Pans are not non-stick, as advertised by The Cookware Company in TV and social media ads.

Plaintiff Elena Lamb claims that Blue Diamond non-stick pans fail to live up to marketing claims.

According to the Blue Diamond pans class action, consumers such as Lamb were deceived into paying a higher price based on these representations.

Blue Diamond cookware is a line of enhanced ceramic non-stick pans from The Cookware Company. The pans, which are heavily advertised on TV and social media, are reportedly coated with a ceramic, diamond-infused non-stick layer. The layer is advertised as being five times harder, four times faster and 10 times longer lasting than traditional non-stick coatings.

Lamb says these representations are false.

The class action lawsuit claims that Lamb purchased a Blue Diamond pan with the expectation that it would perform as advertised. Instead of an easy, non-stick experience, Lamb reportedly dealt with food sticking to the pan and a “messy and difficult” clean up process. She allegedly tried to cook an egg as directed on the label but was met with the same sticky result multiple times.

According to the Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit, Lamb completely stopped using the pan due to its disappointing performance.

Consumer complaints reportedly express similar frustrations with the pans. Customers claim their Blue Diamond pans are not non-stick and even stick more than a regular pan. Other consumers say the pans are not durable and quickly accumulate chips and scrapes.

“Despite the myriad of nonstick representations made by Defendant, the Pan simply does not perform its most basic and critical function—to provide users with a nonstick cooking experience,” the Blue Diamond class action lawsuit claims.

According to Lamb, she and other consumers would not have purchased the products or would not have paid as much had they known that the Blue Diamond pans were not non-stick. The Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit also claims that The Cookware Company knew their misrepresentations would drive purchasing decisions and increase profits.

“Defendant has voluntarily accepted and retained these profits and benefits, with full knowledge and awareness that, as a result of Defendant’s misconduct, Plaintiff and the Class did not receive Product of the quality, nature, fitness, or value that had been represented by Defendant, and that reasonable consumers expected,” alleges the Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit.

Lamb seeks to represent a Class of consumers who purchased the Blue Diamond pans and a subclass of the same consumers from Florida. On behalf of this proposed Class, the Blue Diamond class action lawsuit seeks injunctive relief, damages, court costs, and attorneys’ fees.

Along with the false claim of being non-stick, the pots and pans leech a metal taste to all it touches. I thought there was something wrong with the eggs, maybe old? I’ve tried 5 different cartons of fresh eggs and not only does the egg stick with oil/butter, but they taste so metallic it’s scary to ingest.

what chemicals are leeching into our food with these pans?

To test the eggs are ‘just bad’ theory, I popped some corn in a blue diamond pot. I added a little olive oil to the pot, then some kernels. The texture of the popcorn became pitted and the popcorn itself had that same distinct metal taste i found in the eggs from the blue diamond frying pan. This is only the 3rd time I used the pot.

How can they be legally advertised and propped up as safe if they allow traces of aluminum into your food?

I purchased a blue diamond pan and the first few time it was great. But it soon deteriorated and my scrambled eggs stick one and are hard to remove. Definitely not worth the coast.

  3. Victoria Pentecost says:

Does not work! The first couple times I used it worked, always followed the instructions!!! But now forget it! It is a mess to make scrambled eggs everything sticks!!! They lied and falsely advertised. I want my money back!

Please add me to the lawsuit if possible. We purchased three blue diamond pans and they are the worst I’ve ever used. After only 2 weeks, we were completely unable to fry an egg in any of them. I wiped them out and washed by hand, using no harsh detergents. They simply do not work as advertised. I would never have spent the money on them had I known, of course. They all sit at the bottom of the cabinet, waiting to be thrown out. Very, very disappointing.

Please add me to the list! My daughter bought me this set as a gift and I was thrilled! Unfortunately, EVERYTHING sticks to them now and it is extremely frustrating; not to mention the money she spent on them! When trying to find out what to do, the company just ignores you. Great Marketing; horrible product! SCAM!

  6. Margaret Kuti says:

These are the worst pans I have ever purchased. Since day one, everything sticks to them. I have tried using butter or oil as well with no success even though they claim no butter or oil is needed. I just want my money back. Never again will I purchase anything from this company nor will I recommend their products to anyone. Quite the opposite. Please add me to the list of complainants. They should not be allowed to continue to sell this product anymore.

Arrived here after Googling “what is wrong with my blue diamond non stick pan?” Glad to know I’m not alone but *not* glad to know that I got duped. Cleaning up the egg nastiness is not fun. Worked great for 2-3 uses, now sticks just like a regular pan would.

  8. Mike M says:

My pan stuck after one use. Would never have spent money on this
    product had i known.

  9. Becky Gibson says:

I thought this was a great non stick pan that I fry eggs in. But after using about 6 times the eggs need scraped off .
My husband bought this for me as a present. He isn’t happy about the poor quality !

    1. Kenneth Knight says:

Yes the exact same thing happened to me. First time egg stuck to pan. Tried next day with oil and egg still stuck to pan. They suck!

  10. Rhonda says:
