nonstick pan with wooden spoonA class action lawsuit claims that Blue Diamond Enhanced Ceramic Non-Stick Pans are not non-stick, as advertised by The Cookware Company in TV and social media ads.

Plaintiff Elena Lamb claims that Blue Diamond non-stick pans fail to live up to marketing claims.

According to the Blue Diamond pans class action, consumers such as Lamb were deceived into paying a higher price based on these representations.

Blue Diamond cookware is a line of enhanced ceramic non-stick pans from The Cookware Company. The pans, which are heavily advertised on TV and social media, are reportedly coated with a ceramic, diamond-infused non-stick layer. The layer is advertised as being five times harder, four times faster and 10 times longer lasting than traditional non-stick coatings.

Lamb says these representations are false.

The class action lawsuit claims that Lamb purchased a Blue Diamond pan with the expectation that it would perform as advertised. Instead of an easy, non-stick experience, Lamb reportedly dealt with food sticking to the pan and a “messy and difficult” clean up process. She allegedly tried to cook an egg as directed on the label but was met with the same sticky result multiple times.

According to the Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit, Lamb completely stopped using the pan due to its disappointing performance.

Consumer complaints reportedly express similar frustrations with the pans. Customers claim their Blue Diamond pans are not non-stick and even stick more than a regular pan. Other consumers say the pans are not durable and quickly accumulate chips and scrapes.

“Despite the myriad of nonstick representations made by Defendant, the Pan simply does not perform its most basic and critical function—to provide users with a nonstick cooking experience,” the Blue Diamond class action lawsuit claims.

According to Lamb, she and other consumers would not have purchased the products or would not have paid as much had they known that the Blue Diamond pans were not non-stick. The Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit also claims that The Cookware Company knew their misrepresentations would drive purchasing decisions and increase profits.

“Defendant has voluntarily accepted and retained these profits and benefits, with full knowledge and awareness that, as a result of Defendant’s misconduct, Plaintiff and the Class did not receive Product of the quality, nature, fitness, or value that had been represented by Defendant, and that reasonable consumers expected,” alleges the Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit.

Lamb seeks to represent a Class of consumers who purchased the Blue Diamond pans and a subclass of the same consumers from Florida. On behalf of this proposed Class, the Blue Diamond class action lawsuit seeks injunctive relief, damages, court costs, and attorneys’ fees.

I purchased mine for $45.00 and it started to become like sand paper on the bottom and couldn’t cook in it anymore so I had to toss it. I was so disappointed.

  2. Kris Hawk says:

I, like others, had a pan that worked great for a while for a couple of months. But then all of a sudden, the entire bottom is basically like trying to cook on sandpaper! I’m seriously bummed because now I can’t really cook Anything in it without having to scrape it all off the bottom. Very sad. Now I have to go buy another pan.

  3. Melissa Laws says:

I purchased a blue diamond pan and it worked great for a while. We were actually going to purchase a while set of pots and pans because it worked so good at first. Glad we didn’t because everything sticks to it now. I did everything as directed but nothing helped.

  4. Debbie Anderson says:

I bought the 12”:frying pan…loved it for a few months, now it is worthless. Everything sticks even when I use oil and it is so hard to clean it. I am so embarrassed because I bought my friend one for a gift, because I loved mine in the beginning I am so disappointed, what a scam! I hope this company has to pay for scamming people. My old (15 years old) T-Fal frying pans are non stick, but I wanted a healthier option..BLUE DIAMOND FAILED TERRIBLY

  5. Dan Schultz says:

The only reason I bought this pan was the non stick long life features. What a huge mistake!!!! I hope law suites like this keep companies from defrauding the public

  6. Ann Nelson says:

I bought a frying pan for around $40. It worked great for a month or so then out of the blue, everything is sticking to it:( I ve been very careful with it too. I can’t see any abrasions but it is now basically unusable. Very frustrating!

  7. Mary Sizemore says:

I purchased one about 3 months ago, it sticks so bad I have given up trying to use it, I have old T-gal pans that are better than Blue Diamond. I would not recommend or purchase again.

  8. Kristina says:

True, paid around 40 bucks with tax used few times no problem after that everything cooked in it is ruined cheaply made product I won’t buy anymore.

  9. Jill Kramer says:

We just got rid of ours due to this. Jill Kramer

  10. Janice Krieger says:

I was given the whole set of Blue Diamond pans purchased at Macy’s last Christmas 2019. The only pan left that I will consider using is the small sauce pan. The small frying pan’s handle gets so hot that you have to use a pot holder to pull it off the stove, All the larger frying and cooking pans are sticking and I’ve only cleaned them as directed with dish detergent and soft sponge.

These are not what they were advertised as being! Thanks Blue Diamond, you ruined my Christmas presents!!! I’d like to get into this lawsuit too!
