nonstick pan with wooden spoonA class action lawsuit claims that Blue Diamond Enhanced Ceramic Non-Stick Pans are not non-stick, as advertised by The Cookware Company in TV and social media ads.

Plaintiff Elena Lamb claims that Blue Diamond non-stick pans fail to live up to marketing claims.

According to the Blue Diamond pans class action, consumers such as Lamb were deceived into paying a higher price based on these representations.

Blue Diamond cookware is a line of enhanced ceramic non-stick pans from The Cookware Company. The pans, which are heavily advertised on TV and social media, are reportedly coated with a ceramic, diamond-infused non-stick layer. The layer is advertised as being five times harder, four times faster and 10 times longer lasting than traditional non-stick coatings.

Lamb says these representations are false.

The class action lawsuit claims that Lamb purchased a Blue Diamond pan with the expectation that it would perform as advertised. Instead of an easy, non-stick experience, Lamb reportedly dealt with food sticking to the pan and a “messy and difficult” clean up process. She allegedly tried to cook an egg as directed on the label but was met with the same sticky result multiple times.

According to the Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit, Lamb completely stopped using the pan due to its disappointing performance.

Consumer complaints reportedly express similar frustrations with the pans. Customers claim their Blue Diamond pans are not non-stick and even stick more than a regular pan. Other consumers say the pans are not durable and quickly accumulate chips and scrapes.

“Despite the myriad of nonstick representations made by Defendant, the Pan simply does not perform its most basic and critical function—to provide users with a nonstick cooking experience,” the Blue Diamond class action lawsuit claims.

According to Lamb, she and other consumers would not have purchased the products or would not have paid as much had they known that the Blue Diamond pans were not non-stick. The Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit also claims that The Cookware Company knew their misrepresentations would drive purchasing decisions and increase profits.

“Defendant has voluntarily accepted and retained these profits and benefits, with full knowledge and awareness that, as a result of Defendant’s misconduct, Plaintiff and the Class did not receive Product of the quality, nature, fitness, or value that had been represented by Defendant, and that reasonable consumers expected,” alleges the Blue Diamond pans class action lawsuit.

Lamb seeks to represent a Class of consumers who purchased the Blue Diamond pans and a subclass of the same consumers from Florida. On behalf of this proposed Class, the Blue Diamond class action lawsuit seeks injunctive relief, damages, court costs, and attorneys’ fees.

I wish I could show you what these crappy over priced pans do to eggs. Worst pans ever.Just threw away all these pans. I think the only reason I didn’t right away was feeling like I needed to get my money’s worth out of them. Email me for pics

My children bought these for me so they would have an easier time cleaning out the pans. Well, these are harder to clean then the ones we replaced! I had to SOAK and SCRUB them, took a lot of effort!

I bought the blue diamond pan from Walmart about 5 months ago. First few uses the pan was ok.
This pan sticks to everything that is cooked and seems to get worse with each use.. The pan still looks like new but sticks bad and I am frustrated. Add me to this lawsuit

  6. Brian Hedden says:

Had these a month now and use only plastic there are scratches in the pan and don’t get any response from customer service

  7. Mary Recchia says:

Only used 6-7 times and only hand washed. The first few times the pan worked well. I have only used the pan for pancakes both in the oven and on an electric stove.

It worked well the first few times. Now the pan has an uneven/blotchy spots in the center where the pancakes always stick. Someone described it as a layer of stickiness.

This pan was a waste of money.

I bought the blue diamond pan from Walmart about 5 months ago. First few uses the pan was ok, then I noticed the pan gets increasingly sticky. Some food remnants never come off with washing. Very dissatisfied with the pan!

Same here. Just came online to see what I could do to remedy. Tried to contact the company by their email address which is a non viable email. Worked fine for a while, never abused, never even put in dishwasher. Found this website with all the complaints just like I have.

I have the full set and I also purchased an additional frying pan that was a little bigger. They worked great at first and now the frying pans stick terrible. I always cook on low heat and add oil to the pan and everything still sticks. Even bacon! Bacon shouldn’t stick, should it? Very disappointed in these pans.
