Young Living agreed to an essential oil settlement providing more than $5 million in coupons and other cash benefits to consumers who purchased products from the company.
The settlement benefits consumers who purchased essential oil products from Young Living between Jan. 1, 2017, and April 25, 2024.
According to plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit, Young Living falsely promised its essential oil products were “therapeutic” and capable of providing health-related benefits. In reality, these products allegedly provide no health benefits and could even be harmful, the consumers claim.
Young Living is a multilevel marketing company that sells essential oil products.
Young Living hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to the $5 million essential oil settlement to resolve the class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the Young Living settlement, class members can receive cash compensation for purchased products. Class members who provide proof of purchase can receive $2 per unit plus a $5 payment for a maximum payment of $25. Class members without proof of purchase can receive $1 per purchased product for a maximum payment of $5. Cash payments may be reduced on a pro rata basis depending on the number of claims filed.
Class members can also receive a $5 Young Living coupon. Total coupon redemptions are capped at $5 million. Coupons cannot be used on a rewards order, cannot be combined with other offers, can only be used on an order of $25 or more and will be valid for six months.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is June 8, 2024.
The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for July 15, 2024.
To receive payments from the Young Living settlement, class members must submit a valid claim form by June 24, 2024.

I used these products during this tune frame, but I did not receive notification ftom YL or an ID #. How can I get an id#?
Please be so kind as to send me a claim number as I utilized this product Thank you .l
This is the biggest bunch of BS I have ever read. I absolutely enjoy everyone of my oils and trust this company 110%. A natural oil from the source is mother nature. I have never had a burn from my oils, or a bad reaction to any of those purchased. This company has always done its due diligence to provide proper information. I have used oils for over 20 years and with this company for the last 10years. this has been the best I have found that does not dilute or add additional fillers and fragrance. Oils have been around for a long time, the benefits for me, are better than something spun in a lab. Read your history. This sounds like just another attempt to send messages reducing choice of those of us that wish to not use pharmaceutical products. I continue to enjoy my natural oils.

Have purchased, no receipts, please add.
I am still waiting for Unique ID. I’ve reached out to Claim Admin and attorneys on several occasions via phone and email. No response. Unable to file my claim without Unique ID.
Please add me. I do not have a receipt anymore but I did purchase many Young Living essential oils after May 2017.
You should NOT ingest essential oils, and this MLM will tell you it is safe to do so. This is why I quickly steered away from this company. Also, never put oils on you skin without adding a carrier, you can literally burn your skin. I haven’t paid much attention to this company in many years but I hope they stopped giving such unsafe advice out. This lawsuit doesn’t surprise me.
They haven’t stopped. In fact, they started advising people to give oils to cats and dogs that are toxic to them.
That’s insane! I can’t imagine even diffusing around my animals! I am very careful when applying EO’s on myself at bedtime when my yorkie is near me.
