Young Living agreed to an essential oil settlement providing more than $5 million in coupons and other cash benefits to consumers who purchased products from the company.

The settlement benefits consumers who purchased essential oil products from Young Living between Jan. 1, 2017, and April 25, 2024.

According to plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit, Young Living falsely promised its essential oil products were “therapeutic” and capable of providing health-related benefits. In reality, these products allegedly provide no health benefits and could even be harmful, the consumers claim.

Young Living is a multilevel marketing company that sells essential oil products.

Young Living hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to the $5 million essential oil settlement to resolve the class action lawsuit.

Under the terms of the Young Living settlement, class members can receive cash compensation for purchased products. Class members who provide proof of purchase can receive $2 per unit plus a $5 payment for a maximum payment of $25. Class members without proof of purchase can receive $1 per purchased product for a maximum payment of $5. Cash payments may be reduced on a pro rata basis depending on the number of claims filed.

Class members can also receive a $5 Young Living coupon. Total coupon redemptions are capped at $5 million. Coupons cannot be used on a rewards order, cannot be combined with other offers, can only be used on an order of $25 or more and will be valid for six months.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is June 8, 2024.

The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for July 15, 2024.

To receive payments from the Young Living settlement, class members must submit a valid claim form by June 24, 2024.

I’ve been using oils from Youngliviing for 30 years. In fact, I don’t leave home without themI don’t leave home without. In fact, I took a terrible phone this past week while traveling my last two days of my trip and on my last two days of my trip, I sprained my knee and ligaments in my ankle. I sprained my knee we the worst. If it were not for these essential oils from young living, I would still be laid up. I was able to return back home on a flight and go straight to work limping some however it’s been slightly over a week. I have no limp. My ligament strain is just about healed Can barely notice it. I have had at least three other injuries in which miraculous speeding healing saves the day. You have to remember this is energy medicine, and those who believe in their medicines benefit far greatly then the skeptics

I’ve been using YL essential oils for over 25 years and I can sit here and say that YES, “for me” – and i’ll only speak for myself (and my family and friends who also use these products” they have benefitted me when traditional medicine has not. There are case studies on how certain oils kill bacteria, mold and more – so i’m not understanding this particular lawsuit. They need to be doing MORE research into the health benefits (especially emotional!) of high quality essential oils, not less. This is yet another step backward that people today are trying to take, rather than be brave and embrace what is new and different in our reality now. This is a shame because this is a really ethical company who would NEVER intentionally do harm. This makes me very sad. And i will not be part of it because its NOT TRUE. What do you think they used before pharmaceutical labs and chemicals? There have been those who have been trying to do this to YL for years, I’ve seen it. This is just another step in their journey to destroy this good company. Shame. Please don’t believe this, i have so many stories where these oils have made a HUGE difference. Thank you for allowing us to have a say in this.

Whats the Young Living product? I have several products myself.

  5. Shannon Claybaugh says:

I have $100’s of dollars in Young Living but I never received an email with a unique ID

  6. Beth K. Mathews says:

I have been using YL Essential Oils for many years. Just like our pharmaceuticals, not every product is going to benefit a person in the same manner. Of course there are those that will want to smear ANY alternative health methods. Some will take advantage of this law suit.
I have Fibro/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. MY WELL BEING, INCLUDING PAIN RELIEF AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT have BEEN POSITIVELY EFFECTED BY YL ESESENTIAL OILS.

  7. Jackie Mckinney says:

I qualify for the settlement but do not have a Unigue ID.

  8. Nicole Polzella says:

I never received Unique ID to file claim. Unique ID is required to file claim electronically, so I am unable to do so. Tried to call number and left vm. I have proof of purchase. Please advise.

  9. Thelma O Dopheid says:

I have about 3000 $ in unopened bottles of YL oils. 25$ plus 5$ coupon? 🙄

  10. Melissa says:

I qualify for this settlement. I have not received an email Notice, so I don’t have a Unique ID to proceed with filing out a claim form. I have purchase receipts to back my claim, but need a claim form to submit
