Young Living agreed to an essential oil settlement providing more than $5 million in coupons and other cash benefits to consumers who purchased products from the company.
The settlement benefits consumers who purchased essential oil products from Young Living between Jan. 1, 2017, and April 25, 2024.
According to plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit, Young Living falsely promised its essential oil products were “therapeutic” and capable of providing health-related benefits. In reality, these products allegedly provide no health benefits and could even be harmful, the consumers claim.
Young Living is a multilevel marketing company that sells essential oil products.
Young Living hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to the $5 million essential oil settlement to resolve the class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the Young Living settlement, class members can receive cash compensation for purchased products. Class members who provide proof of purchase can receive $2 per unit plus a $5 payment for a maximum payment of $25. Class members without proof of purchase can receive $1 per purchased product for a maximum payment of $5. Cash payments may be reduced on a pro rata basis depending on the number of claims filed.
Class members can also receive a $5 Young Living coupon. Total coupon redemptions are capped at $5 million. Coupons cannot be used on a rewards order, cannot be combined with other offers, can only be used on an order of $25 or more and will be valid for six months.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is June 8, 2024.
The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for July 15, 2024.
To receive payments from the Young Living settlement, class members must submit a valid claim form by June 24, 2024.

I do not understand how a person uses them for YEARS and then makes a claim they did not work. I have used them for years n am careful the essentials don’t get below 50 degrees or above 80 degrees or they loose some effectiveness. I use them on athletes that can increase thier competition speed to thier max n run or jump etc higher n faster for increased length of time n no muscle burn or injury. Have used on. College kevel players n some pros. No complaints only HEY THIS STUFF REALLY HELPS!!!!! HAVE USED ON MYSELF FIR YEARS IN MY MIX FOR ELIMINATE LACTIC ACID BUILDUP. NEVERVHASVFAILED UNLESS THEY LET THIER OIL GET BELOW 50 OR ABOVE 80 DEGREES. I HAVE NOT USED NOW FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS.
