Aterian agreed to pay $800,000 to resolve a class action lawsuit claiming Mueller kitchen products are falsely advertised as made in Austria, and no proof of purchase is required for consumers to benefit from the settlement.
The class action lawsuit settlement benefits consumers who purchased various Mueller kitchen products between Dec. 9, 2018, and Aug. 23, 2023. A full list of covered products can be found on the settlement website.
Plaintiffs claim Aterian used an image of the Austrian flag and the name “Austria” to mislead consumers into believing Mueller kitchen products were made in Austria. The class action lawsuit contends the plaintiffs and other consumers paid more for Mueller home appliances and other products based on these representations.
Mueller is a kitchen products brand owned by Aterian.
Aterian hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $800,000 settlement to resolve the false advertising class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the settlement, class members can receive a $7.50 cash payment or a $15 voucher per product. Regardless of which option they choose, claimants can receive compensation for up to two products, resulting in a maximum payment of $15 in cash or $30 in vouchers.
No proof of purchase is required to benefit from this class action lawsuit settlement.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is Jan. 30, 2024.
The final approval hearing for the settlement has been rescheduled for March 7, 2024.

35 thoughts onMueller kitchen products false advertising $800K class action settlement
I submitted a claim for numerous products from them but never received any payouts. Is it too late now? I have no idea why I didn’t get anything.
Please add me
I never herd of them. I was never notified about the case. They sent me a $15 settlement voucher for some strange reason. I have no idea why. They have nothing to offer me.

$.95 really?!? At least the appliance is still working.
I thought Mueller was deceptive in their advert, this lawsuit was deceptive in telling us we would get $7.50 per item (up to $15). Got $0.95, total BS and a waste of time
Just received an email from [email protected] to claim the $0.47 of this Stacy Dorcas v. Aterian, Inc. settlement.
Something is very odd. From $800,000 award there’s only 47 cents for the people affected? On the court documents it seems the lawyers got approx. $200,000.
You don’t get how these work. The estimated $7.50 (or whatever) is assuming only 10% or less file a claim.
They are not required by law to estimate, or publish the actual number of claimants.
I got a whopping $.95 as an Amazon gift card!!!
Yes ,we got scammed on the lawsuit too, we own 3 mueller blenders, and were told $7.50 per appliance, ane now they give us .95 the lawyers are scammers too, probably keeping it for their greedy selfs.
Yes totally I agree, they took all the money, I send them email after I got silly ridiculously $0.95 and they never reply back case closed. Well I don’t need your penises but I do hope someone BIG Sue them all with a new Class Action against Mueller Settlement Fraud!
And you handed over your personal details for that .97 cents. Did you learn anything?
When is the payment date
