Keurig has agreed to pay $31 million to resolve claims it violated antitrust laws by fixing the price of its Keurig K-Cup Portion Packs products.
The settlement benefits individuals who purchased Keurig K-Cup Portion Packs from retailers other than Keurig between Sept. 7, 2010, and Aug. 14, 2020, in all states other than Mississippi and Rhode Island; between March 24, 2011, and Aug. 14, 2020, in Mississippi; or between July 15, 2013, and Aug. 14, 2020, in Rhode Island.
Claims against Keurig were consolidated in June 2014. According to the plaintiffs in the eight consolidated class action lawsuits, Keurig violated antitrust laws in order to monopolize the market for single-serve coffee pods. This monopoly allegedly allowed the company to artificially fix the price of Keurig K-Cup Portion Packs products — subjecting consumers to financial strain that wouldn’t exist in a healthy market.
In December 2017, these claims were preserved by a federal judge who denied the company’s motion for dismissal.
Keurig has not admitted any wrongdoing in the case but has agreed to a $31 million Keurig K-Cup Portion Packs class action settlement. The settlement provides reimbursement for Keurig K-Cup purchases in the form of cash payments. Reimbursement rates will vary from 0.75% to 100% depending on the state the purchase was made in and whether proof of purchase was submitted with a claim.
In order to benefit from the settlement, Class Members must file a valid claim form by July 15, 2021. Proof of purchase of Keurig K-Cup purchases and information about these purchases (number of K-Cups purchased, price paid, state where purchase took place, brand name, etc.) is required to validate claims.
The deadline for exclusion is May 14, 2021. The deadline for objection is May 17, 2021. The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for June 4, 2021.

The claim form asks “Price paid for the Keurig K-Cup Portion packs” after asking about the number of Keurig K-Cup Portion packs purchased. So my doubt is whether i should respond about the price paid for 1 product/ item or mention the total amount paid after multiplying the price per item and the number of Keurig K-Cups purchased?
Similarly, when responding to the question “number of cups in the Keurig K-Cup Portion packs purchased” should I respond about the number of cups in the single product or item or I should mention the total number of cups after multiplying the number of cups in the single product or item and the number of Keurig K-Cup portion Packs Purchased?
I’ve been asking these same questions to myself. The claims form is very poorly written. The attorneys in this case are only making about 11,000,000$, plus their expenses, you’d think for that kind of money that they could, at least, spend a little more time on the 2 page claim form. Just like every other class action lawsuit settlement, everyone looses except the attorneys, we the consumers get pennies, while the slick haired lawyers continue stacking their gold bars deeper and deeper, all from the proceeds of these somewhat easy to win and extremely profitable class action lawsuits.
Ohh god 1- they ask you how many box you buy 2-price you bay $$ 3-the number of K.cup inside the box 35 or 42 or 72 4- if you drink k cup coffee you should know that ?
i multiplied mine, was not sure
Add me to the list Still use my machine
People please read this……No one will receive a penny for these reasons: 1. Who keeps their grocery receipts for 11 years and if they do the receipts fade to nothing printed on them. 2. 13 million dollars will not go far. I drink at least 1 k-cup a day so that totals up to over $2,000 spent in this time frame and that is if I don’t have company over. 3. The attorneys get most of the settlement because of their hassle preparing the case, taking it to court, going through each claim and receipt, etc. 3. And if your going to receive a small amount and it cost more to prepare the check and mail so the attorneys have stated “If the cost is more than what you will be receiving you will NOT receiving anything”.
With all that said the class action law suits in general are usually a way for attorneys to make money whether a company has errored or not. The company’s being sued usually do not acknowledge any wrong doing but settle because it is cheaper for the company to do so.
All my personal opinion.
I have receipts because it’s a business expense. Blah blah blah by you for no reason.
So sad for you. I have every receipt dating back to 2010. I happen to do my shopping online, therefore, receipts are readily available. Maybe next time don’t be so quick to know it all.
Please let me know how many pennies you receive
You are so correct. I have just purchased my second keurig. Who keeps receipts for these K cups
I have proof because I buy alot at sams club, bjs and costco, all of which you can request a purchase history, you can also request a amazon purchase history, if you have a target redcard and cartwheel, it will show about 2 years history. so I have thousands of dollars in proof, one good reason to shop club stores.
Yes you are right. I have been buying k cups for years I do not keep my receipt because it’s faded. I drink 4 k cups a day and I buy the 12 or 24/cups
And you are RIGHT!!! But I still applied. Don’t let the attorneys keep all of it.
Please add me I have been using keurig since 2010 and had 3 keurig coffee machine. Please add me
Sorry for a stupid question,
Do I have to fill out every purchase date row even if I did not purchase on that date? I am selcting paypal but the form will not submit
Is proof of purchase required even for a small purchase?
I cannot get far enough thu the form to get to that.
No,, If you look to the right of the row and click on the X it will go away!
Add me please, have purchased regularly over past several years
Why do people keep writing “add me”? You have to file a claim yourself!
