Keurig has agreed to pay $31 million to resolve claims it violated antitrust laws by fixing the price of its Keurig K-Cup Portion Packs products.

The settlement benefits individuals who purchased Keurig K-Cup Portion Packs from retailers other than Keurig between Sept. 7, 2010, and Aug. 14, 2020, in all states other than Mississippi and Rhode Island; between March 24, 2011, and Aug. 14, 2020, in Mississippi; or between July 15, 2013, and Aug. 14, 2020, in Rhode Island.

Claims against Keurig were consolidated in June 2014. According to the plaintiffs in the eight consolidated class action lawsuits, Keurig violated antitrust laws in order to monopolize the market for single-serve coffee pods. This monopoly allegedly allowed the company to artificially fix the price of Keurig K-Cup Portion Packs products — subjecting consumers to financial strain that wouldn’t exist in a healthy market.

In December 2017, these claims were preserved by a federal judge who denied the company’s motion for dismissal.

Keurig has not admitted any wrongdoing in the case but has agreed to a $31 million Keurig K-Cup Portion Packs class action settlement. The settlement provides reimbursement for Keurig K-Cup purchases in the form of cash payments. Reimbursement rates will vary from 0.75% to 100% depending on the state the purchase was made in and whether proof of purchase was submitted with a claim.

In order to benefit from the settlement, Class Members must file a valid claim form by July 15, 2021. Proof of purchase of Keurig K-Cup purchases and information about these purchases (number of K-Cups purchased, price paid, state where purchase took place, brand name, etc.) is required to validate claims.

The deadline for exclusion is May 14, 2021. The deadline for objection is May 17, 2021. The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for June 4, 2021.

  1. Linda Hagen says:

I have purchased these for many years. I do retain my receipts but will have to look back years to search each one (grocery store, BJs warehouse, CVS, etc.) I would like to be included and will look for my receipts. Thank you for letting us know.

  2. Tina Hansen says:

I would love to be added to this. I still have my keurig machine and buy the kcups all the time from the grocery store and bed bath beyond. I have never saved any of the receipts for any of the purchase. Do I qualify still?

  3. Susan Houppert says:

Please add me .I agree with the others! I have had 4 keurig coffee makers so far all purchased a while ago. And of course like the others, who would have thought to hold onto the receipts that long. Over the years I have purchased to many large boxes of K cups at Sams Club in Watertown NY to count ! The price has been outrageous ! I have only used the original K cups from Keurig at all times. I believe the boxes held from 80 to 100 k cup pods each….and of course who would have saved their receipts for those purchase for that length of time.

  4. Carmella McKinley says:

Add Me this my favorite coffee maker, always purchase k cups from different stores, I have no receipts also please add me.

  5. CM Hall says:

I have purchased 3 Keurig. The needle is crap if you use the Keurig a lot. I have no receipts. How do I sign up.

  6. Rocky Dale Williams says:

Please add me. I was using these cups for years, but did not keep receipts. Didn’t know I needed to

    1. Paula Estep says:

I bought my first Keurig in 2012 and have drank 2 cups of coffee everyday since then. I don’t have my receipts, am I still eligible? I live in WV.

  7. Beth Morinelli says:

    Add me!
However I don’t keep or file my grocery receipts!

  8. Lisa Huntley says:

Who has the room to hold on to every receipt???,

  9. Katie Lane says:

I own a Keurig. I agree with all that has been said. Who would keep a receipt from every purchase for everything that they buy? That is so ridiculous.

  10. susan says:

I have purchased hundreds of K-Cups and never once thought to keep my receipts. Would like very much to join this lawsuit but without proof of purchase I guess it’s a lost opportunity to gain back what I overpaid
