The checks are arriving for the Ross Stores Class Action Lawsuit Settlement (McGee v Ross Fund) and WHAT a settlement it is! We knew it was a cash settlement, but, not exactly how much you’d receive. Well, now we know! $268.51! Holy Moly! All you had to do was print out the claim form, fill it out, and mail it in! That’s INCREDIBLE! Keep an eye out on your mailbox for YOUR check if you submitted your claim!

Top Class Actions connects you to the only LEGITIMATE free money on the internet folks! Those “Make THOUSANDS with Google and don’t do a thing” and “free government grants/stimulus packages” are all BUNK! Don’t fall for them and pay “a small shipping and handling charge.” They’re the internet version of those ads you used to see in the back of magazines which said “Make thousands from home! Just send a self addressed stamped envelope with $5 in cash to ….”  and all they would tell you is to post an ad in a paper telling people to send you money! That’s what these internet scammers are doing. They’ll just send you an email telling you to buy AdWords and put up a website.

At Top Class Actions the consumer doesn’t have to spend a DIME to view class action lawsuit settlement information. We tell you everything you need to know to get PAID for free. Head over to the Open Settlements section now and make your claim! Don’t let another one like the Ross Settlement slip by. I’ll bet you wished you printed out the claim form and sent it in now, huh? The check from Top Class Actions viewer Jill is below. THANKS JILL! Once you get your check head over to the settlement page and let us know!

Details: Did you purchase someone from Ross or DD’s Discounts department stores sometime between January 1, 2005 – February 22, 2007 using a credit card? If so, you may be eligible to submit a claim for your piece of ~$800,000 to be distributed to claimants. You need to go here and print out the claim form. Fill it out, as completely as possible, and send it in by January 2nd, 2009. It MUST be postmarked by that date. Don’t remember what date you purchased the item or what credit card was used? Your claim won’t be denied according to the settlement agreement. The settlement agreement states “The Claim Form shall not be denied because a Settlement Class member does not know or cannot determine the correct las four digits of the card number that was used to make a purchase between January 1, 2005 and February 22, 2007. Nor shall the claim form be denied because a Settlement Class member does not know or cannot determine the correct date of purchase.” In that case, our opinion is that you’ll want to leave those items blank, making sure to sign and date the bottom of the claim form stating you made the purchase. If you have any questions, call the number above.

Purchased From: January 1, 2005 – February 22, 2007

Claims Accepted Until (YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR CLAIM BY THIS DATE!): January 2nd, 2009

Class Action Lawsuit Settlement Amount(s): $1,250,000 minus $400,000 in attorney fess minus $50,000 in administrator and advertising expenses = ~$800,000 to be distributed to claimants

TCA Staff Tidbit: At first our opinion of this settlement was BLAH! Only a little more then a million dollars total, with ~$800,000 going to the affected Class? Yuck. I mean, how many people remember the exact date when they made a purchase at a department store a few years ago, along with what credit card they used? A show of hands please. . . Yeah, thought so, we didn’t think you remembered either. This got INTERESTING after reading the entire settlement agreement. First off, this is a CASH disbursement! No discounts, coupons or giveaways. The claimants will receive a check for cold hard cash. That’s Nice! Second, the agreement states that they won’t deny the claim if you don’t remember what date you made your purchase on or what card you used. WOW! That’s great! The only bummer is you have to submit a paper claim, electronic submission isn’t available. So, get those printers printing, grab a stamp and an envelope, and get those claims submitted!

I was involved in a class action lawsuit with DD’s discount store for unpaid lunch or missed meals. I since moved from San Jose to another county and would like to know how to go about the end result of the lawsuit..
