Lilly Lashes agreed to a $500,000 class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that it falsely advertised its mink eyelashes as “cruelty-free.”

The Lilly Lashes class action settlement benefits consumers who purchased Lilly Lashes false eyelashes made with mink fur and labeled as “cruelty-free” between June 7, 2018, and Feb. 28, 2025.

Lilly Lashes is a lash brand founded by beauty influencer Lilly Ghalichi. The brand sells a variety of lash products, including mink lashes.

The Lilly Lashes false advertising class action claimed that the plaintiffs would not have purchased the mink eyelashes if they knew the products contained real animal fur, which, they said, violated California law.

Lilly Lashes has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $500,000 to resolve the allegations.

Under the terms of the Lilly Lashes class action settlement, class members can receive a cash payment based on the number of Lilly Lashes products they purchased.

Class members who provide proof of purchase can receive $10 per unit purchased. Class members without proof of purchase can receive $10 per household.

Payments may be reduced depending on the number of claims filed with the settlement. However, if fewer than $500,000 in claims are filed, payments may increase.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is May 15, 2025.

The final approval hearing for the Lilly Lashes false advertising settlement is scheduled for July 29, 2025.

To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by May 15, 2025.

The claim form is not working. I don’t have a claim number because I bought my lashes from Kohl’s (Sephora). Even though it ways I don’t need a claim number, it won’t let me submit my claim without it. Also, it says my phone number has to have dashes and it won’t let me add the dashes. I’m sure the company is counting on us giving up which I have. All this trouble is not worth the $10. Well played, Lilly Lashes!
