A settlement has been proposed in a class action lawsuit alleging certain Universal Nutrition supplements were improperly labeled with a “Made Proudly in the USA” label.
If you purchased certain Universal supplements with a label indicating they were American-made, you may be entitled to payment from this class action settlement.
The supplement labeling class action lawsuit asserts that defendant Universal Protein Supplements Corporation (which does business as Universal Nutrition, Universal USA and/or Animal Pak) has violated California state law by labeling its supplements with the “Made in USA” label.
Plaintiff Marcus Giffin alleges he relied on false and misleading statements on the labels and advertisements for Universal’s Animal Pak supplement, and believed that the product was made in the United States. However, these advertising statements were allegedly false and/or misleading.
The supplement labeling class action lawsuit accuses Universal of violating California state consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Legal Remedies Act, False “Made in USA” Advertising Law, and Unfair Competition Laws. He does not claim that the products have caused injury or harm.
Universal denies the allegations but has agreed to settle the supplement labeling class action lawsuit to avoid the burden and expense of litigation.

I couldn’t make an ATM deposit for this check, nor would the bank tellers accept it. The lack of security features and the black and white color of this check makes it suspicious. The claim administrator did a poor job in sending these checks out.
I sent an e-mail message requesting a new alternate check.
Our bank wouldn’t accept our checks (wife got one too) as I stated in an earlier post. I emailed the administrator at claims@ilymgroupclassaction.com and they responded within 10 minutes. They said that they could mail two normal sized replacement checks and put a stop payment on the the originals that we couldn’t cash or deposit. I agreed to that and they responded quickly again stating that the checks would be mailed immediately. Two days later the new checks arrived and we deposited them without a problem. Make sure to keep the original check because they will ask for the check number and another number on on the check before they send out a replacement.
Cashed mine just fine
Somehow the town I live in has no businesses capable of cashing these specific checks.. in fact they don’t seem to be capable of doing much of anything aside from increasing crime statistics. Purdy sure they’re all linked thru the small town mentality grid that’s more than a couple sparks short of a full connection.
Cant cash mine either wint except it at bank or store.
