A $3.65 million T-Mobile class action settlement resolves claims the company failed to properly pay its account executive employees.

The T-Mobile employment settlement class benefits current and former employees working under SMB account executive titles who were classified as exempt in California between March 1, 2021, and Feb. 27, 2024, and in all other states between March 1, 2021, and Dec. 31, 2021.

According to the T-Mobile class action lawsuit, the company misclassified its SMB account executives as exempt from overtime despite performing the job duties of non-exempt employees. This misclassification allegedly allowed T-Mobile to deny its SMB account executives the overtime wages they were owed.

T-Mobile is a telecommunications company that provides wireless voice, messaging and data services in the United States.

The company hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $3.65 million to resolve the T-Mobile class action lawsuit.

Under the terms of the T-Mobile employment settlement, class members can receive a cash payment based on the number of workweeks they worked during the class period. No payment estimates are available at this time.

There is no exclusion or objection deadline for this settlement.

The final hearing date was Sept. 5, 2024.
