Details: The Classmates.com settlement will resolve a series of class action lawsuits, entitled In re Classmates.com Consolidated Litigation, that alleged Classmates.com sent emails to subscribers that violated the law and the privacy rights of subscribers.

Under the revised Classmates.com class action settlement, Classmates.com will provide $2.5 million in refunds to Class Members who submit valid claim forms. The actual amount Class Members can receive will depend upon how many people file valid claim forms, but, based on the participation rates in the Prior Classmates.com Settlement, it is estimated that each participating Class Member will receive about $10.

Class Members of the Classmates.com class action settlement include all persons residing in the U.S. who were registered with or subscribed to www.classmates.com at any time beginning October 30, 2004 through February 23, 2011. To receive a cash payment from the Classmates.com class action lawsuit settlement, you must submit a valid claim form via email or postmarked no later than November 18, 2011.

If you submitted a claim (either for a coupon or for a cash payment) in response to the Prior Classmates.com Settlement, you do not need to submit a new claim form. 

All Class Members of the Classmates.com class action settlement will receive email notifications containing a Claim Number and Control Number, which are required to file a claim. If you do not receive this email by October 18, 2011 and believe you are a Class Member, you can email the Settlement Administrator at claimforms@cmemailsettlement.com to request a notice and claim form.

    Both my husband and I got checks for $ 3.93…and then got charged $ 30.00 when they both bounced. Where are the class action settlement lawyers now? Insult to injury.

    I got $3.93 via paypal today

    Guess what people. You can’t cash your $3.93 check. You have to deposit the check into your bank account. I went to case bank to cash the check and was told I would. Have to open up an account. Sounds like a scammed to me.

    I received a check today for a whole $3.93 from this. I guess their $10 estimate was off a bit. What a joke!!!

    I filed papers as part of the Classmates lawsuit. Here it is Oct, 2012 and I haven’t heard a word. Did anything happen?? Was there a settlement?

    On June 15, 2012, the Court approved the Revised Class Action Settlement as fair, reasonable and adequate.
