Top Class Actions viewers are starting to receive checks and/or coupons from three different settlements from the following companies: Sexy Hair Concepts, Lenny’s & Larry’s Complete Cookie, and StarKist Tuna.
Sexy Hair Sulfate-Free Shampoo
Top Class Actions viewers are starting to receive checks in amounts up to $23.59 from the Sexy Hair Concepts class action settlement. The company reached a $2.33 million deal with consumers who claimed that the company misrepresented that some of their shampoos are sulfate-free.Plaintiff Molly Crane filed a class action lawsuit in February 2017 alleging that Sexy Hair took advantage of customers who look for sulfate-free shampoos to avoid reactions from cleansing agents. The plaintiff claimed that after she used the shampoo, she read on the back label that the product contained sodium sulfate, sodium chloride, and ammonium chloride. The company reached the deal with consumers in October 2018. Besides the settlement fund that was set up, Sexy Hair has also agreed to cease labeling their products as sulfate-free unless they do not actually contain sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) or sodium laureth sulfate (SLES).Those customers who filed a valid claim were told that they would receive $6 for every purchase made. Those who did not have a valid proof of purchase would only be able to receive money for up to two purchases.
The deadline to file a claim for the Sexy Hair shampoo settlement passed on March 20, 2019.
The Sexy Hair plaintiffs were represented by Edward Haber and Patrick Valley of Shapiro Haber & Urmy LLP.
The Sexy Hair Sulfate-Free Shampoo Class Action Settlement is Crane v. Sexy Hair Concepts LLC, Case No. 1:17-cv-10300, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Lenny & Larry’s Complete Cookie
Top Class Actions viewers are reporting that they are starting to receive checks in the amount of $14.60 and three free cookies related to a $5 million class action settlement. The $5 million settlement fund was to include $1.85 million for cash payments and $3.15 million in free cookies for Class Members. The plaintiffs in this settlement alleged that the company misrepresented the nutritional value of their Complete Cookie. In addition, the class action claimed that the fat, sugar, carbohydrate, calorie, and protein counts were misrepresented. The plaintiffs allege that testing showed that the cookie’s protein content was lower than what was advertised and that the quality of the protein in the cookies was purposefully miscalculated. The class action settlement noted that Class Members who submitted a valid Claim Form and a proof of purchase would have the option to receive a cash payment or free products. If the Class Member chose the cash payment, they would receive between $20 and $50. If the Class Member chose the cookie payment, they would receive up to $30 of free cookies. Those without a proof of purchase would receive a cash payment or free products, but the amounts would be lower.
The deadline to file a claim for the Lenny & Larry’s class action settlement passed on Jan. 29, 2019.

StarKist Tuna
Top Class Actions viewers are reporting that they are receiving checks in the amount of $2.38 or $5.03 in coupons from a StarKist Tuna class action settlement. The class action lawsuit alleged that StarKist Co. unfilled some of their 5-ounce cans of tuna products.Plaintiff Patrick Hendricks alleges that StarKist Co. violated a federal law which states that 5-ounce cans have to contain an average of 2.84 to 3.23 ounces of tuna. The plaintiff argued that StarKist’s cans only contained an average of 2.81 to 3.11 ounces of tuna.Starkist had agreed to pay a $12 million settlement to consumers of their product. Of the $12 million, $8 million was to be paid in cash and $4 million was to be paid in coupons which would be redeemable for StarKist tuna products.
The deadline to file a claim for the StarKist Tuna class action passed on Nov. 20, 2015.

I have not received the tuna payout the directv payout. I wish there was a way you could put your class act number in and find out
Never got my settlement.
Never received my settlement. Filled my claim in August 2015 and still waiting. I did note that my claim was made using my PO Box # which I got rid of in 2019 and started using my house #. My email and phone # has not changed so I was reachable.
There is a lot of info above but nothing about how or who to get in touch with to try and get my devalued coupons.
Anyone know what to do?
Got mine
I got a coupon for $5.03 toward the purchase of StarKist can or pouch products, but when I tried to use it, it wasn’t valid. I’m still toting it around.
I have a claim number for the Starkist tuna thing and have not received anything!
