AllSaints Credit Card Receipt Class Action Settlement Checks

Top Class Actions’ viewers have reported receiving checks from an AllSaints FACTA class action settlement. Our readers are receiving checks worth $408.65 as a part of the settlement.

The AllSaints class action lawsuit was filed in 2016 and claimed that the retailer violated the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA) by including more than the last five digits of a payment card number on printed receipts.

“Unfortunately for customers, AllSaints’ knowing and willful disregard of FACTA’s truncation requirements exasperates the very risks that FACTA seeks to avoid,” the AllSaints FACTA class action argued.

The settlement benefited All Saints customers who made a purchase between July 29, 2014 and July 17, 2018 and received a receipt containing more than the last five digits of their payment card number and/or their payment card’s expiration date information.

The deadline to file a claim with the AllSaints FACTA class action settlement was April 1, 2019.

Plaintiffs and Class Members in the AllSaints FACTA class action were represented by Rafey S. Balabanian and Benjamin H. Richman of Edelson PC, and Edwin J. Kilpela and Todd D. Carpenter of Carlson Lynch Sweet Kilpela & Carpenter LLP.

The AllSaints Credit Card Receipt Class Action Lawsuit is Mocek v. AllSaints USA Limited, Case No. 2016-CH-10056, in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.

Sam’s Club Freshness Guarantee Class Action Settlement Checks

Our viewers have also reported receiving gift cards as part of a Sam’s Club freshness guarantee class action settlement.

Claimants with the settlement have been pleasantly surprised by their benefits after receiving gift cards worth $136.20. This amount is much higher than original estimates which projected gift card values to be between $10 and $25.

The Sam’s Club freshness guarantee class action claimed that the wholesale retailed violated their own promises to provide a 200 percent refund on certain fresh products including fresh meat, seafood, product, and bakery items.

Plaintiff Myriam Fejzulai claimed that, in her eight years as a Sam’s Club member, she was never offered the 200 percent refund or full refund and replacement offered by the company.

The deadline to file a claim with the Sam’s Club freshness guarantee class action settlement was March 26, 2018.
