The settlement benefits consumers who were denied access to Uber Eats as a delivery person in New York City between Oct. 24, 2015, and July 28, 2021, based on the results of a criminal background check. The settlement class is split into two groups. Group 1 class members are individuals with serious convictions that are more likely to be job-related based on the nature and recency of their convictions. Group 2 class members are individuals with convictions less likely to be deemed job-related.
