Update from the President of TCA

Halloween is upon us and the ghouls and goblins are racing through the streets to collect candy. This is always a fun time and I hope you’re enjoying it with your family. My daughter Sydney looks adorable in her fairy princess outfit. I already can’t wait for next year! Anyways, on to the settlements.

We’ve posted an update to the DeBeers Diamond class action lawsuit settlement page. The Judge is hearing the challenges to the settlement in January and it appears they will be denied. Hopefully payments will start processing by the end of March or April. We’ll let you know (and update the page) once we get an update.

As promised more settlements have been posted. In addition, an update to the Dannon Activia Yogurt Settlement is expected soon (so you can start submitting your claims,) the Mattel Toys Lead Paint settlement is expected to be approved (and posted) soon, and we’re also in the process of updating the Expedia class action settlement page. One last note is that we’ll likely post another class action settlement involving cellular/mobile ring tone purchases. More details will be posted as they arrive and they’ll be included in November’s newsletter.

November is looking like it will be a very busy month for class actions as attorneys look to close out the year strong. Keep an eye on TopClassActions.com for more developments.
