The automaker initiated the recalls over loss of power brake assist, tow hitch cover separation and inaccurate load-carrying capacity modification labels.
Consumers filed the Toyota class actions over alleged engine and door-lock defects.
Class action claims Toyota sold Tundras with dangerous engine defect
A group of consumers filed a class action lawsuit against Toyota earlier this month over claims the automaker sold Tundra trucks containing a dangerous engine defect.
The class action lawsuit argues Toyota equipped certain Tundra trucks with V35A engines that trap debris inside, causing throttle lag, jolting or lurching and no immediate response from pressing the gas pedal followed by a sudden burst of acceleration.
The group claims the alleged defect increases the risk of rear-end collisions, unexpected surges at stoplights and/or complete engine failure..
Toyota sold vehicles with door-lock defect, class action claims
A group of consumers filed a class action lawsuit against Toyota and several of its related entities in November over claims the automaker sold vehicles containing a door-lock defect.
The class action lawsuit argues Toyota sold certain 4Runner, RAV4, Highlander, Prius, Tundra, Camry, Camry Hybrid, Corolla, Tacoma and FJ Cruiser vehicles equipped with defective door locking actuators.
The consumers argue the alleged door-lock defect jeopardizes the safety of vehicle occupants because doors may open while the vehicle is in operation or fail to open during an emergency, among other things.
Toyota recalls 40K+ Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles over power brake assist issue
Toyota issued a recall for more than 40,000 model 2023-2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles in September over concerns they could experience a loss of power brake assist.
The recall involves some Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles produced between June 1, 2022, and Sept. 10, 2024.
The automaker says drivers of the recalled Toyota Corolla vehicles could experience a hard brake pedal with reduced braking force, causing the vehicles to take longer to stop than expected and increasing the risk of a crash, according to the recall notice.
Toyota says it is remedying the issue by having its dealers update the recalled Toyota Corollas’ skid control electronic control unit software at no cost to vehicle owners.
43K+ Toyota Sequoia Hybrid vehicles recalled over tow hitch cover concerns
Toyota issued a recall for more than 43,000 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid vehicles in August over concerns their tow hitch cover could separate from the vehicle during operation, posing a safety risk.
The recall involves 43,395 model year 2023-2024 Toyota Sequoia Hybrid vehicles equipped with a tow hitch cover manufactured between Aug. 23, 2022, and July 23, 2024.
The automaker says the tow hitch cover may fail to stay on the recalled Toyota Sequoia Hybrid vehicles due to the design of the attachment structure between the cover and bumper, according to the recall notice.
Toyota says it is remedying the issue by having its dealers replace the tow hitch cover with an updated part at no cost, the recall notice states. It will also modify the rear bumper of the recalled Sequoia Hybrid vehicles so it can accept the new part.
Toyota distributor recalls vehicles over inaccurate load-carrying capacity modification labels
Toyota distributor Gulf States Toyota issued a recall for more than 33,000 vehicles in August over concerns they contain load-carrying capacity modification labels that fail to accurately reflect the total weight of all installed accessories.
The recall involves various model year 2023-2025 Toyota light vehicles produced between Sept. 22, 2022, and July 1, 2024.
The Toyota distributor says the load-carrying capacity modification labels on the recalled models could be higher or lower than the actual total weight of all installed accessories, causing a driver to potentially overload a vehicle unknowingly, according to the recall notice.
Gulf States Toyota says it is remedying the issue by mailing new load-capacity labels to affected vehicle owners at no cost.

I just posted a statement about my 2025 Toyota Camry panoramic sunroof shattering – is there a class action lawsuit I can join for this?
I purchased a 2025 Toyota Camry on 1/2/2025 and on 4/16/2025 driving 20MPH in my neighborhood, the back portion of my panoramic sunroof spontaneously shattered. It sounded like a loud pop and I immediately heard the sound of glass above my head. I immediately looked on line about it and found numerous other incidents of the same thing happening with Toyota. There was mention of a possible lawsuit being started for this. The very first sentence of the information it sated that the Toyota dealerships will not cover glass even if you have an extended warranty but will instead tell you ” looks like a rock hit your glass”. Sure enough that is exactly what the dealership said almost word for word!! It appears Toyota is using inferior glass/products and lying about it so you will have to claim it on your insurance ( cost me $500 deductible ) and they are off the hook by passing on the bill for their back product onto you and your insurance. If they had to do a recall it would cost THEM!!!!
I have a 2007 Toyota fj cruiser, and the frame, and under carriage are completely rusted out.
Please add me to this I have a 2018 Toyota Camry vechicle with foor-lock-defect this is so dangerous when an emergency occur.
