A $24 million settlement has been reached to resolve class action claims that ticket holders were financially damaged by the NFL Rams move from St. Louis to Los Angeles.

If you owned personal seat licenses at the Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis at the end of the 2015 NFL season, you could get up to $1,350 per seat from the Rams class action settlement.

According to several Rams class action lawsuits, some ticket holders purchased seat licenses at the St. Louis stadium through 2024 but were not reimbursed when those licenses became worthless.

A Rams class action lawsuit filed in February 2016 by plaintiff Ronald McAllister claimed that he purchased two personal seat licenses for $1,000 each and was not reimbursed for these costs as the license contract allegedly promises.

In July 2016, McAllister’s class action lawsuit was consolidated with two other class actions. Plaintiffs in one suit claimed that they should have been able to purchase tickets in Los Angeles after the move, while the third complaint argued that the Rams owner and COO lied to fans about their intention to leave St. Louis.

In December 2018, over two years after a federal judge ruled that the Rams must repay their ticket holders, the parties reached a $24 million settlement to resolve the consolidated class action claims.

The settlement was reached despite a failed round of mediation in 2017 and allows all parties to avoid the costs of further litigation.

Under the settlement, Class Members will receive between $75 and $1,350 per seat depending on how much they spent on each personal seat licenses. Specific information about reimbursement levels is available in the Potential Award section below.

The settlement will also provide up to $7.4 million in attorneys fees and court costs, as well as up to $50,000 in service awards for the named plaintiffs. Any amount approved for attorneys’ fees and expenses will not affect how much Class Members are eligible to collect.

To object or exclude yourself from the Rams class action settlement, Class Members must do so in writing by April 9, 2019.
