Loan Depot phone calls class action lawsuit overview:ย

  • Who: Zachary Sawicki filed a class action lawsuit against Loan Depot LLC.ย
  • Why: Sawicki claims Loan Depot violates the law by sending unsolicited telemarketing calls and automated voice messages, including to numbers that are listed on the National Do-Not-Call Registry.ย
  • Where: The class action lawsuit was filed in Florida federal court. ย ย ย

Loan Depot LLC engaged in unlawful telemarketing practices by repeatedly placing unwanted solicitation calls and automated voice messages, including to numbers listed on the National Do-Not-Call Registry, a new class action lawsuit alleges.ย

Plaintiff Zachary Sawicki claims Loan Depot, a national mortgage lender, placed โ€œno less than fiveโ€ solicitation calls to his telephone number, despite it being listed on the National Do Not Call Registry.ย

Sawicki argues that, despite his requests to not receive anymore of the telemarketing calls and attempts to opt out, Loan Depot โ€œcontinued pounding Plaintiffโ€™s cellular phone number with solicitation calls.โ€ย

โ€œDespite opting out per Defendantโ€™s instruction, Defendant continued placing solicitation calls to Plaintiffโ€™s cellular phone number,โ€ states the Loan Depot class action.ย

Sawicki wants to represent a national Do-Not-Call Registry class who received a call placed by or on behalf of Loan Depot, and a nationwide class of individuals who answered a solicitation call from Loan Depot, each within the last four years.ย

Also included in the Loan Depot class action is a nationwide class of individuals who received a pre-recorded message from Loan Depot or a caller acting on its behalf, and a Florida class of individuals who received a solicitation call from Loan Depot or a caller acting on its behalf.ย

Loan Depot telemarketing calls are an invasion of privacy, nuisance, waste of time, says class action

Loan Depotโ€™s alleged unlawful telemarketing practices have caused damages such as invasion of privacy, nuisance, waste of time, decreased productivity, and loss of concentration, among other things, the Loan Depot class action alleges.ย

Sawicki claims Loan Depot is in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act. He is demanding a jury trial and requesting an award of monetary and treble damages for himself and all class members.ย

A number of similar class action lawsuits have been filed this year against companies accused of violating the TCPA through allegedly unlawful telemarketing practices, including Subway, Petland, and Shoe Carnival, among others.ย

  1. B Briggs says:

I have been getting unsolicited cell phone calls from Loan Depot- every few hours and want it to stop. I blocked their number and still they call.

  2. Mary-Ellen says:

I have been inundated for the past 6+ weeks, on a daily basis, with multiple robo calls (5+ daily )from Loan Depot, โ€œSavannaโ€. I have opted out & I have called the number Savanna suggested to opt out, only to be met with another robo answering machine. I have blocked dozens of phone numbers I have received from them but they just keep coming up with new numbers. My phone is used for medical reasons & I canโ€™t have Loan Depot or anyone else filling up my voice mailbox. I have never taken a loan out through Loan Depot but โ€œSavanna โ€ keeps robo-ing me that she needs a little more information to finalize my loan!! This is total & blatant harassment.

  3. EE says:

Loandepot calls me between 3-5x per day, has overloaded my voice mails so I canโ€™t receive any other voice mails. Iโ€™ve blocked their number but they continue to call. I canโ€™t find any way to โ€œunsubscribeโ€ or be removed form their call list. I cant answer my phone as it interrupts any outgoing calls!

  4. Willette says:

I am so tired of Savannah if this is legitimate I would like to be in on a class action

  5. Kevin Gilbert says:

Loan depot has been blowing me up with a ghost number from nearby area. This phone number 206-647-0003 is out of service. They are breaking the law and being extremely annoying.

i have been getting mutiple calls from laon depot and have never applied for a loan

  7. Tonia says:

I have been getting multiple robocalls, daily from Loan Depot. If I donโ€™t recognize the number, I let it go to voicemail. I am SO SICK of โ€œSavannahโ€ calling me back about my loan applicationโ€ฆI have NEVER applied for a loan with Loan Depot, or any other loan company. Iโ€™m on the Do Not Call Registry, but that is a joke. I wish I could stop this harassment! Itโ€™s ridiculous!

  8. Marie says:

Loan depot has called me for the last 3 days every 3 hours. I have asked them to stop. They have not. Savannah is the name given.

  9. Doug Ottley says:

Loandepot utilities an auto dialer system and then submits to the registries to unflag any spam numbers as they claim consumers have opted in.

  10. Roxie Sibley says:

I have received many spam calls from this department. Usually when I see it I press deny or my spam blocker would block it. They would leave messages However I immediately delete it.
