Propecia Side Effects Lead to Lawsuits Over Sexual Dysfunction, Depression, Memory Loss and More

By Sarah Pierce

Propecia side effects in menDrug maker Merck & Co. has been hit with a number of lawsuits alleging its popular hair loss treatment, Propecia, caused unusual side effects, including Propecia sexual dysfunction, anxiety, depression, emotional problems, and other Propecia side effects in men. Plaintiffs in the Propecia lawsuits allege Merck did not adequately warn them of these potential side effects of Propecia (finasteride) or that these effects could remain for years or even permanently.

If you took Propecia or Proscar (a higher dose version of finasteride) and suffered one of the following side effects, you may be able to join the litigation against Merck and seek compensation through a Propecia lawsuit or Propecia class action lawsuit.

Many Propecia users aren’t even aware that their treatment for male pattern baldness is the culprit behind these problems, and continue taking it unknowingly. This can have damaging effects on their self-esteem and relationships, which may be compensatable through a Propecia product liability lawsuit. A study conducted by researches at Boston University School of Medicine found that 15% of men who used Propecia experienced sexual dysfunction, including decreased libido and erectile dysfunction.

Propecia Mental/Emotional Problems

Some men have also reported neurological side effects of Propecia, including:

* Anxiety
* Depression
* Insomnia
* Emotional problems
* Memory problems/memory loss
