Nearly $300M Goes To Yaz Lawsuit Settlements

Bayer has been pledging money left and right, it seems, to make Yaz blood clot lawsuit lawyers go away. While the total could be more than $2 billion, the company has added $262 million to its settlement fund for settling Yasmin side effects cases.
That brings the total to about $900 million that the German pharmaceutical firm has socked away towards claims from Yaz blood clot lawsuit lawyers. It could end up being the largest settlement and jury award payout by a single pharmaceutical company when all is said and done. Even the tobacco companies had the advantage of each having to contribute a share. However, Yasmin side effects and those of related oral contraceptives are only made by Bayer.
Part of the appeal for Bayer to settle is that it can do so with individual plaintiffs. Since the case is being argued by Ocella multi-district litigation (MDL) attorneys, the manufacturer can pay money to individual plaintiffs. The current average is just over $200,000 for each plaintiff alleging Beyaz deep vein thrombosis side effects and those with similar conditions, according to a recent Bloomberg News Report.
One of the problems for many women is that a number of new contraceptives have significant adverse effect profiles. Yasmin blood clot risks are nearly double those of other medications, according to the FDA. Other studies indicate that Beyaz deep vein thrombosis side effects could be even higher. Moreover, millions of women have taken the medications, so Yasmin side effects, even if relatively rare, affect thousands.
In fact, there are already 10,000 cases filed by Yaz blood clot lawsuit lawyers and those of women who have taken related medications. Unfortunately, for some there will likely be no settlement. While some of the most common side effects are blood clots, deep vein thrombosis and stroke, women suffering from other conditions will have to fight in court.

I THINK THIS YAZ SETTLEMENT SHOULD BE DESIDED BY A FEMALE JUDGE! MY DOCTOR SAID THIS YAZ SHOULD SLOW MY MONTHLY CYCLE AND EASE MY PAIN! I TOOK IT FOR 3 MONTHS WITH EXTREME PAIN AND A MONTHLY CYCLE THAT WENT ON FOR WEEKS AT A TIME! LEAVING ME BED RIDDEN OR TWICE I BLEED THROUGH MY CLOTHES IN PUBLIC! MY DOCTOR SAID IT WOULD TAKE AT LEASE 3 MONTHS TO GET MY CYCLED REGULATED! WRONG!! YAZ MADE THINGS WORSE IN MY CASE! I THINK ONLY A WOMEN COULD UNDERSTAND THIS PROBLEM!
