Probiotics continue to grow in popularity as a natural, or “homeopathic,” remedy for many different health problems,  including constipation, digestive disorders, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and other gastrointestinal issues. Many probiotic supplements also claim to boost the immune system as well. However, some of these products are nothing more than expensive sugar pills, leading to a class action lawsuit investigation into probiotic supplement scams. Although Nature’s Way provides a “True Guarantee” for Primadophilus Bifidus that includes “true potency, true release, and true identity,” the fact remains that there are no regulations when it comes to the manufacturing of these probiotic products and, therefore, there really is no guarantee of what is going into the supplement or if it can meet the claims advertised.
