Beyaz Side Effects Just as Dangerous as Yasmin/Yaz

Beyaz is a birth control option made by Bayer HealthCare. However, unlike Bayer’s other oral birth control pills Yasmin and Yaz, Beyaz has not received the same amount of attention even though its side effects are just as serious as those linked to Yaz and Yasmin. In fact, the number of Beyaz lawsuits presently in the court system is on the low side despite the growing number of Yaz and Yasmin lawsuits. There are likely several reasons for the lack of attention Beyaz side effects are receiving, one of which may be consumer awareness. While there is a great deal of attention given to Yaz and Yasmin for their side effects, it is likely that women who took Beyaz have not made the link between their side effects and the birth control they took. However, many Beyaz lawsuit attorneys believe this will likely change in the future.
Another reason for the lower number of Beyaz lawsuits is because Beyaz has not been on the market nearly as long as both Yaz and Yasmin as it was only approved by the FDA in 2010. Shortly after its approval, an FDA warning was released in September 2010 that could have potentially affected the number of women who were prescribed the birth control option.
The problem with Beyaz, Yaz and Yasmin is that they contain drospirenone, a synthetic hormone. This has been linked to a number of severe side effects. It is important to note that every oral contraceptive carries a side effect risk of developing a blood clot but it has been shown in a number of studies that drospirenone increases this side effect risk above and beyond what older oral birth control options do.
It was recently reported that there are over 13,500 Yasmin and Yaz lawsuits filed against Bayer. It is believed by many Beyaz lawsuit attorneys that as awareness grows there will be more Beyaz lawsuits filed. This is because a Beyaz settlement may be the only way a side effect victim can get the compensation they need to pay for their medical costs, pain and suffering.

- Skin Condition Marked by Red and Painful Nodules
- Stroke
- Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
- Yellow-Brown Patches on Skin
- Water Retention
