Propecia Lawsuits On the Rise for 2nd Consecutive Quarter

Propecia injury lawsuitsIt was recently reported that the number of Propecia lawsuits filed against Merck & Co., the manufacturer of Propecia, has risen for the 2nd consecutive quarter in a row. The last quarter ended on June 31, 2012 and since that time there has been an increase in Propecia lawsuits by 32.5%. These Propecia lawsuits claim that the users of Propecia experienced a number of severe side effects, including sexual side effects. It is also reported in a number of these Propecia lawsuits that the side effects persisted even after the Propecia user stopped taking the medication.
Merck recently reported that 265 Propecia lawsuits had been filed against them in the past quarter and there were over 400 plaintiffs since September 30, 2012.

Because of the large number of Propecia lawsuits being filed against the drug’s manufacturer, the Propecia lawsuits have now been consolidated to multidistrict litigation.
