Specialty Networks agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that it failed to prevent a 2023 data breach.

The Specialty Networks settlement benefits individuals whose private information was identified as being potentially impacted by a data breach that occurred in December 2023.

In August 2024, Specialty Networks informed more than 395,000 consumers that their information may have been compromised in a data breach that occurred in December 2023.

The breach allegedly compromised sensitive information, such as names, birth dates, driver’s license numbers, Social Security numbers, medical record numbers, treatment information and health insurance data. Plaintiffs say the company could have prevented the breach with reasonable cybersecurity measures.

If you received a data breach letter within the past six months notifying you that your personal information was compromised in a different data breach, you may be eligible to pursue compensation. See if you qualify.

Specialty Networks is a healthcare company that connects medical professionals with medical imaging centers.

The company has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve the data breach class action lawsuit.

Under the terms of the Specialty Networks settlement, class members can receive either a flat cash payment or a larger payment for documented losses. Flat payments are estimated to be $100. Larger payments of up to $5,000 are available for documented losses, such as bank fees, fraudulent charges and credit monitoring expenses.

All class members are eligible for three years of free credit monitoring, which has a cost value of $110 per year.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Oct. 13, 2025.

The final approval hearing for the Specialty Networks class action settlement is scheduled for Nov. 13, 2025.

To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by Oct. 13, 2025.
