Michael Kors has agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it advertised misleading discounts on merchandise sold in its outlet stores.
The settlement benefits individuals who made a qualifying purchase at a Michael Kors outlet store between May 10, 2019, and Nov. 14, 2025.
Michael Kors is a designer brand that sells clothing, handbags, shoes and other accessories. The brand has both regular stores and outlet locations.
According to the class action lawsuit resolved by this settlement, Michael Kors outlet stores advertised “discounted” prices that were never the actual prices of the products. Plaintiffs in the case say that they were misled into believing they were getting a good deal when, in reality, they were paying full price.
Michael Kors has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve the allegations.
Under the terms of the Michael Kors settlement, class members can receive a merchandise certificate that can be used at Michael Kors outlet stores. These certificates are worth up to $30.
California and Oregon KORSVIP Authorized Claimants will receive their merchandise certificates via email if they do nothing. Other class members will need to submit a claim form to receive their merchandise certificate.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is March 6, 2026.
The final approval hearing for the Michael Kors discounts settlement is scheduled for March 27, 2026.
To receive a settlement payment, class members must submit a valid claim form by March 6, 2026.
