Juul Labs and Altria have agreed to a combined $300 million false advertising class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it concealed the addictiveness of its e-cigarettes to sell to consumers and minors. No receipt or other proof of purchase is required for consumers to submit a claim in the Juul class action lawsuit settlement.
The settlement benefits individuals who purchased Juul products, including pods and devices, from a retail store, online store or the Juul website before Dec. 7, 2022.
According to the Juul class action lawsuit, Juul Labs was able to sell its products to a large number of consumers by concealing the addictiveness of and safety concerns associated with the e-cigarette products. Plaintiffs in the case also claim Juul Labs intentionally advertised its products to minors.
Juul Labs is an e-cigarette company that sold e-cigarettes and a wide range of flavored vape pods.
Juul Labs hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $255 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve the false advertising claims.
Following that initial settlement, Altria agreed to pay an additional $45 million to settle the remaining claims in the case.
Under the terms of the settlement, class members can receive a proportional cash payment based on the amount they paid for Juul products. No payment estimates are available at this time.
Types of purchases will be weighted differently under the settlement. Youth purchase totals where the initial purchase was made by someone under the age of 18 will be multiplied by four when assigning settlement shares. Purchase totals where the initial purchase was made between 2015 and 2018 will be multiplied by two when assigning settlement shares. Purchase totals where the initial purchase was made between 2019 and 2022 will not be multiplied when assigning settlement shares.
Juul purchase documentation, such as a receipt, is required for combined purchases of $300 or more. Payments are capped at $300 without proof of purchase.
The deadline for exclusion and objection has been extended to Feb. 5, 2024.
The initial Juul Labs settlement received final approval on Sept. 19, 2023.
To receive benefits under the Juul and Altria class action lawsuit settlement, class members must submit a valid claim form by Feb. 5, 2024; no proof of purchase is required.

Im just hearing about this
DID ANYONE RECEIVE PAYMENT WHO SUBMITTED A CLAIM IN THE FIRST SETTLEMENT? who received this email below
Our records indicate that you have identified yourself as a member of a class action lawsuit regarding JUUL products by submitting a claim for payment from the settlement with JUUL Labs, Inc. The remaining defendant in the case, Altria, has now agreed to settle all the remaining claims. This settlement may affect your rights.
You are eligible to receive a payment from a settlement with Altria. If you already submitted a claim for the first settlement, you DO NOT need to submit a new claim now to receive payment from the Altria settlement. You will receive one payment with funds from both settlements. If you opted out of the settlement with Juul, you can opt back in and submit a claim for payment from both settlements. Or if you wish to opt out of the Altria settlement as well, you must submit a second opt-out form.
It’s the new year and nada.
I emailed they refused to respond
I phone corporate juul they couldn’t be nicer.
But the 3rd party handlers are incompetent boob’s.
So be like as I keep on keeping on.
Happy new year to all.
Here it is end of December & still have not received the $72.00 I was told I would receive this month.
Hey guys yesterday I got an email telling me my ACH failed originally and to supply another way to accept the funds. So this is a follow up to my call when I spoke to a supervisor 2 weeks ago. So hopefully I get the funds now I will keep you all posted.
Card has been put on Hold! I have monies I have coming back as I being refunded. It shows in the payment record my True balance but shows different in available balance. I have also deleted my Confirmation number…long ago. I have heard things about December, but as of now, card is useless and on hold without refunds being able to be added back to card. What can you do?
How are you getting through to a person? I have tried but no prompt to speak with anyone.
Call number, listen to entire message then hit 1, listen again to entire message then hit 7. Listen to message til then end then hit 8 ,9 quickly
Hi all I just got off the phone with a supervisor at the Juul administration because I did not receive my Direct Deposit because my account changed and I was told that they are sending out an email to people who ACH failed to select another payment method. So hopefully they make good on that because I know other people locally that did receive there ACH and didn’t know where it came from because all it said was Epiq direct deposit but it was for $144.01 so I told her it had to be from Juul because that’s what other people are saying they received.
I just spoke to someone as well about my missing ACH payment and was advised they would be sending out an email on December for people to update their payment method if they didn’t receive their payments.
I’m in Canada and I received my check today ($71.31 USD ) but 2 of my family members who opted for e-mastercard have yet to receive theirs.
I received an email from Altria stating it was a legal notice and that I am eligible to receive a payment, however, I have not received any payment. I believe this settlement was severely mishandled and there absolutely should be something that can be done about it!
