Update:

  • The court granted this settlement final approval Nov. 16, 2023.

Curaleaf agreed to a $100,000 class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that its CBD drops contained THC despite being advertised as containing only CBD.

The settlement benefits Oregon consumers who purchased mislabeled Curaleaf Select CBD Drops after June 19, 2021.

Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit claim that Curaleaf mislabeled Select CBD Drops as containing only cannabidiol (CBD). In reality, these drops allegedly contained both CBD and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

Curaleaf is a cannabis dispensary with 152 locations in 19 states. Consumers interested in Curaleaf may also be interested in medical marijuana evaluations and other services from Canna Care Docs.

Curaleaf hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to resolve the false advertising class action lawsuit with a $100,000 settlement.

Under the terms of the settlement, class members can receive a cash payment of up to $200.

Exact payment amounts will vary depending on the number of participating class members.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Sept. 27, 2023.

The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for Nov. 14, 2023.

In order to receive a settlement payment, class members must submit a valid claim form by Sept. 27, 2023.
